Onto Innovation strives to optimize customers’ critical path of progress by making them smarter, faster and more efficient.\nJob Summary & Responsibilities\nFreight Operations & Execution\nCoordinate end-to-end freight movements across air, ocean, truckload, LTL, parcel, and intermodal shipments.\nFiling International Export information through ACE or other applicable customs entity\nEnsure timely pickup, transit, and delivery by monitoring shipment statuses and troubleshooting exceptions such as delays, damages, and capacity constraints.\nPrepare and validate shipping documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, and export paperwork.\nCommunicate shipment schedules and updates to internal stakeholders.\nServe as the day-to-day contact for freight forwarders, carriers, 3PLs, and customs brokers.\nManage expedites and tracking information of key shipments as needed\n3PL service depot coordination\nVisit 3PL regularly to review all aging parts at 3PL - inbound, outbound, FSE pick up, defective returns, etc.\nIdentify root cause of aging - IT issue, 3PL training, pending FSE action, etc.\nPublish the list to local management\nCost & Spend Support\nHelp monitor freight spend, identify discrepancies, and support cost-saving opportunities such as consolidation and mode optimization.\nMaintain accurate shipping cost records and support freight invoice auditing.\nCompliance & Risk Management\nEnsure shipments comply with international trade regulations, customs documentation requirements, and Incoterms.\nSupport preparation of documentation for audits, customs entries, and compliance checks.\nAssist with escalation management during supply disruptions. Systems, Data & Reporting\nUse, ERP, and shipment visibility platforms to execute bookings, track shipments, and maintain accurate shipment data.\nQualifications\nRequired\nHigh School or College degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or equivalent work experience.\n3+ years of experience in freight coordination, shipping, 3PL management or logistics operations.\nKnowledge of domestic and international shipping, Incoterms, and basic customs processes.\nExperience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar logistics platforms.\nStrong attention to detail, communication skills, and problem-solving ability.\nComputer experience- ERP system experience, Microsoft Outlook, Excel\nPreferred\nExperience working with global supply chains or technology hardware shipments.\nKey Competencies\nShipment coordination and execution accuracy\nVendor and carrier communication\nData-driven operational support\nIssue resolution and escalation handling\nCross-functional teamwork\nTravel\nMinimal travel for warehouse visits, carrier meetings, or internal team collaboration.\nOnto Innovation Inc. offers competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, including health/dental/vision/life/disability, PTO, 401K plan with employer match, and an Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) along with health & wellness initiatives.
