Onto Innovation strives to optimize customers’ critical path of progress by making them smarter, faster and more efficient.\nJob Summary & Responsibilities\nMechanical Drafting\nCreate and maintain 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.\n\nGenerate detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and installation documentation.\n\nApply GD&T principles and engineering drawing standards.\n\nSupport design modifications, product improvements, and ECO implementation.\n\nCoordinate engineering documentation required for product releases.\n\nProcurement & Supply Chain Support\nSource mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical components for prototype and production builds.\n\nGenerate purchase requisitions and support procurement processes.\n\nTrack component lead times and proactively communicate supply risks.\n\nDocumentation & Configuration Management\nMaintain BOMs, part numbers, and engineering records.\n\nSupport Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and document release processes.\n\nEnsure documentation is maintained in PLM/PDM systems.\n\nTrack component revisions and supplier change notifications.\n\nApplicants must be able to travel internationally to customer sites at least 20% of the time, with additional travel as business needs require.\nQualifications\nAssociates degree in Mechanical engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or related field.\n0-2 years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, product development, or engineering support roles \nProficiency with CAD software such as:SolidWorks\nAutodesk Inventor\nAutoCAD\n\nExperience creating engineering drawings and maintaining BOMs.\nUnderstanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical assemblies, and engineering documentation.\nExperience working with suppliers and procurement activities.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.\nStrong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.\nWhy Join Onto Innovation?\nAt Onto Innovation, we believe your work should matter-and so should your well-being.
