Onto Innovation strives to optimize customers’ critical path of progress by making them smarter, faster and more efficient.\nJob Summary & Responsibilities\nRegional supplier quality and manufacturing support\nSupport day-to-day quality and manufacturing activities at regional extended factories and key suppliers.\nEvaluate supplier processes, equipment, controls, and manufacturing capability for consistency, repeatability, and scale.\nConduct on-site process audits, technical reviews, and build-readiness assessments for product transfers into mass production.\nLead improvement initiatives that reduce defects, improve yield, and increase process robustness.\nNPD-to-NPI execution\nLead regional supplier readiness from early development through launch and high-volume production.\nDrive APQP deliverables, including PFMEA, control plans, process flow diagrams, MSA, and capability studies.\nManage PPAP submissions for new components, assemblies, and critical processes.\nPartner with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supply Chain to establish manufacturability and strong process controls.\nQuality engineering and structured problem-solving\nServe as the primary extended-factory customer-quality interface for regional Field Service teams on Out-of-Box Quality (OBQ) and Dead-on-Arrival (DOA) events.\nLead containment, root-cause analysis, and corrective action using 8D, 4D, or equivalent structured methods.\nSupport process qualification, validation, PFMEA, Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and continuous improvement.\nMaintain compliance with quality agreements, product specifications, and change-control requirements, including applicable CE requirements.\nManage Product Change Notifications (PCNs), including risk assessment and validation for supplier-driven changes.\nSupplier performance and cross-functional leadership\nBuild trusted working relationships with local suppliers and extended factories.\nUse KPIs and scorecards to identify risks, align improvement plans, and sustain accountability.\nFacilitate technical reviews, supplier meetings, and quality reviews focused on quality, delivery, and operational excellence.\nProvide technical guidance on manufacturability, quality standards, process controls, and complete NPI documentation.\nCollaborate effectively across time zones with Engineering, Operations, Service, Supply Chain, and Quality.\nQualifications\nREQUIRED\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.\n5-10 years of experience in high-complexity manufacturing, supplier quality, or NPI engineering.\nCombined Quality Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering experience.\nHands-on expertise in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and structured problem-solving.\nExperience with local or regional suppliers, contract manufacturers, or extended factories.\nLean Six Sigma Green Belt and ASQ certification.\nStrong communication, data-analysis, and project-management capability.\nPREFERRED\nMaster's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.\nExperience in metrology, inspection, lithography, or semiconductor capital-equipment manufacturing.\nBackground in optical systems, electromechanical systems, or complex assemblies.\nLean Six Sigma Black Belt.\nProject-management experience or certification.\nField Service experience and experience supporting global, multisite manufacturing teams.\nLocation: Singapore\nSchedule: Full-time, standard local working hours\nTravel: 20-40%, including local supplier visits and regional/global travel\nOnto Innovation Inc. offers competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, including health/dental/vision/life/disability, PTO, 401K plan with employer match, and an Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) along with health & wellness initiatives.
