Onto Innovation strives to optimize customers’ critical path of progress by making them smarter, faster and more efficient.\nJob Summary & Responsibilities\nSystem Integration & Design: Lead architecture, integration, and verification of complex optical or electron-beam imaging systems.\n\nRequirements Management: Define, document, and manage system requirements and interfaces\n\nPerformance Optimization: Conduct error budgeting, tolerance analysis, and root cause analysis (RCA) to meet imaging performance targets.\n\nData Analysis & Troubleshooting: Analyze large data sets from system tests, simulation, and field data using Python, MATLAB, or JMP.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software, mechanical, optics, and manufacturing teams to ensure system-level performance goals are met.\n\nCustomer Support: Provide high-level technical troubleshooting for field escalations\n\nMust be able to travel internationally to customer sites at least 20% of the time, with additional travel as business needs require.\n\nQualifications\nEducation: Master’s or Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Applied Optics.\n\nExperience: 3+ years (3-15+ for senior roles) in complex system development, preferably within the semiconductor capital equipment industry.\n\nTechnical Skills: Strong understanding of optical systems, control engineering, and software/hardware integration.\n\nTools: Experience with data analysis tools (Python, MATLAB, JMP, LabVIEW).\n\nWhy Join Onto Innovation?\nAt Onto Innovation, we believe your work should matter-and so should your well-being.
