Onto Innovation strives to optimize customers’ critical path of progress by making them smarter, faster and more efficient.\nJob Summary & Responsibilities\nThe Staff Manufacturing NPI Engineer supports the execution of new product introductions through hands-on manufacturing support, rapid response to design changes, and strong technical ownership of assembly and integration activities. This role is ideal for engineers experienced in precision builds who thrive in fast-moving development environments.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupport NPI execution for optical and metrology systems during engineering and pilot builds.\nExecute and refine assembly, integration, and test processes.\nDevelop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, build travelers, and process flows.\nAdapt quickly to late-stage design changes while maintaining build quality and schedule.\nSupport troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions during builds.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field\n\nMinimum 8 years of experience supporting new product development in manufacturing\n\nStrong technical problem-solving and hands-on execution skills\n\nMust be able to travel internationally to customer sites at least 20% of the time, with additional travel as business needs require.\n\nWhy Join Onto Innovation?\nAt Onto Innovation, we believe your work should matter-and so should your well-being.
