Supervisor will lead a team of landscape specialist, some who have a disability, to keep the fields and grounds of the West Point Prep Academy in tip top shape. During snow season they will clear sidewalks, walkways, pavers, and steps. Their team will also be responsible for clearing roads and parking lots. \nPRIMARY FUNCTIONS:\nPerform grounds keeping using mowers and hand-powered equipment (Ex. Blowers, 0 turn mowers, and weed whackers).\nUse equipment and drive tool cats, backhoe, sanders, and plow vehicles.\nTrim shrubs & trees, mulch around shrubs & trees, beds, seeding, sweep walk ways\nPrune trees, cut limbs, use chain saw, water & Maintain shrubbery, power wash outdoor areas\nGroom field with power groomer, tool cats and use of all grounds power tools\nPlow snow- handle call ins during storms, call in workers before storms, set up snow plows and prepare winter equipment before and during storms. Tailgate meetings with workers.\nCome to work and supervise workers before a snow storm.\nSupervise workers on spreading salt & use of snow blowing equipment.\nKeep in contact daily on all issues pertaining to grounds and workers.\nMaintain inventories of tools, equipment, and stock\nDrive work vehicles to be fixed, inspected, and maintained.
