The Accounting Manager will lead client engagements, manage financial reporting, and oversee tax preparation and audit tasks for a diverse portfolio of clients, including privately held companies, owner-managed businesses, and non-profit organizations.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAdvise clients on accounting solutions and provide value-added recommendations.\nLead and execute client engagements, including the planning and accurate preparation of financial statements.\nPerform audit procedures and prepare working papers for financial statement audits.\nPrepare personal (T1) and corporate (T2) tax returns in compliance with Canadian regulations.\nReview small to medium-sized engagements to ensure quality and timeliness.\nManage and nurture existing client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor.\nRepresent the firm at networking and industry events to support business development efforts.\nGain a deep understanding of client businesses to offer tailored solutions.\nRequired Qualifications:\nCPA designation in Canada.\nMinimum 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting, with a strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards, auditing practices, and tax regulations.\nAt least 2 years of experience at a CPA firm in Canada (excluding sole proprietorship or self-employment).\n4+ years of experience with private enterprises, including compilations, reviews, NTRs, audits, and tax returns for small businesses and NPOs.\nProven ability to lead and mentor teams effectively.\nPreferred Background:\nExperience at top accounting firms, such as Big 4 (EY, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG) or mid-sized firms (MNP, Grant Thornton, RSM, etc.).\nSkills & Competencies:\nStrong business acumen and proven relationship-building skills.\nExcellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.\nOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills.\nExceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.\nCompensation & Benefits:\nCompetitive Salary\nCompetitive benefits package, including health and dental insurance.\nPaid time off and additional holidays.\nProfessional development and growth opportunities.\nCollaborative and supportive team environment.\nDiversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Statement:\nAt Onus Talent, we are committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
