We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated Tax Manager I to lead tax engagements, supervise staff, and manage client relationships. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in US tax law and will be responsible for managing a team of professionals to deliver high-quality tax services to a range of clients.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupervise and manage routine tax engagements, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.\nOversee and mentor Tax Associates and Tax Seniors, providing feedback and evaluations to support their growth.\nDevelop expertise in assigned areas of taxation, offering in-depth knowledge to clients and team members.\nCultivate new client relationships and identify opportunities to offer additional services to existing clients.\nParticipate in firm administrative functions as assigned by partners.\nEnsure adherence to firm policies and procedures while contributing to the continuous improvement of tax practices.\nManage a book of business, maintaining high-quality standards and client satisfaction.\nQualifications:\nEducation & Experience:\nUS CPA designation is required.\nBachelor's degree in Accounting; MST (Master of Science in Taxation) is preferred.\nA minimum of 4 years of experience in US tax, including tax research, tax return preparation, and managing tax engagements for corporations, individuals, partnerships, estates, and trusts.\n5-10 years of overall experience in a public accounting firm.\nProven experience supervising senior staff and managing tax teams.\nProficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.\nSkills & Knowledge:\nStrong understanding of US tax laws and regulations, particularly related to corporations, individuals, estates, and trusts.\nExcellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.\nHigh level of technical proficiency and ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.\nExcellent client service skills with the ability to foster long-term relationships.\nCompetencies:\nStrong communication skills, both verbal and written.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle complex tax issues with confidence.\nStrong business acumen and decision-making abilities.\nA proactive approach to identifying opportunities for growth and service improvement.\nCompensation & Benefits:\nSalary: $100k - $150k, depending on experience.\nBonus opportunities based on performance.\nComprehensive benefits package including life insurance, medical, dental, and vision coverage.\n401(k) with 3% Safe Harbor Match, 2% Profit Sharing, and 5% overall contribution.\nOpportunities for career advancement within the firm.\nDiversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Statement:\nAt Onus Talent, we are dedicated to fostering a workplace that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion.
