The category is still ours to define.\nThe Role.\nWe’re looking for a Regulatory Compliance Associate to help build and run the day-to-day processes that support Onyx’s regulated business. You’ll work closely with compliance, legal, operations, product, and growth on monitoring and testing, policies and procedures, regulatory reporting, employee training, and examination preparation.\nThis is a hands-on opportunity for someone with 2-5 years of compliance experience who wants broader ownership as the business grows. We’re open to backgrounds across financial services, fintech, crypto, sports gaming, and other regulated businesses. Direct experience with futures or prediction markets is helpful but not required.\nThe position is based in New York City, working from our NoHo office.\nWhat You’ll Own:\nConduct compliance monitoring and testing, document findings, and track issues through remediation.\nMaintain policies, procedures, internal controls, and compliance records, including scheduled reviews and updates.\nSupport regulatory reporting, licensing obligations, and compliance calendars to keep recurring requirements on track.\nAssist with regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries by gathering documentation and coordinating responses.\nCoordinate employee compliance training, certifications, and attestations.\nReview marketing materials and external communications alongside legal and growth.\nPartner with product and operations to incorporate compliance requirements into new products and day-to-day workflows.\nIdentify gaps and improve processes as Onyx scales.\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n2-5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related role within a regulated business.\nExperience as a Compliance Analyst, Senior Compliance Analyst, Compliance Specialist, Regulatory Affairs Associate, or in a similar position.\nPractical experience in areas such as monitoring and testing, policy administration, regulatory reporting, licensing, issue remediation, or audit and examination support.\nClear writing skills and the ability to translate requirements into useful procedures and accurate documentation.\nStrong organization, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through.\nAbility to work across teams, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of recurring responsibilities.\nHelpful, but Not Required:\nExperience at a broker-dealer, futures business, trading platform, crypto company, sportsbook, or payments platform.\nFamiliarity with CFTC, NFA, FINRA, or state gaming requirements.\nSeries 3 registration.\nLocation and Schedule:\nThis role is based in our NoHo, Manhattan office, with core in-office days Tuesday through Thursday.\nThis position includes participation in an on-call rotation and may require support during major sporting events, market-moving news, or production incidents.\nCandidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
