Moreover, proficiency in setting up Splunk on a\nRed Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (RHEL 8) system that is hardened is essential for this role. Additionally,\nthe candidate should demonstrate expertise in integrating Splunk with RSA and effectively\nconfiguring it to work seamlessly with both RHEL 8 and Windows environments.\nResponsibilities:\n Design and Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain Splunk environments including\nforwarders, indexers, search heads, and deployment servers.\n Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and integrate Splunk and its components on\nRHEL 8 systems, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.\n Security Hardening: Harden the Splunk environment on RHEL 8 systems to meet security\ncompliance standards and best practices.\n Integration: Integrate Splunk with RSA for secure authentication and authorization across the\nenvironment.\n Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor Splunk infrastructure health, performance, and capacity;\nperform routine maintenance tasks to ensure uninterrupted service.\n Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot issues related to Splunk infrastructure, including performance\nbottlenecks, data ingestion problems, and search optimization.\n Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture\ndiagrams, installation guides, and troubleshooting procedures.\n Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, network, and system\nadministrators to ensure seamless integration of Splunk within the IT infrastructure.\nCore Qualifications:\n Current DoD TS/SCI security clearance.\n Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and a minimum of 12+\nyears of experience in system administration, database administration, network engineering,\nsoftware engineering, or software development, with a concentration in Cybersecurity\n Eight (8) years of experience with Linux and Windows system administration or an advanced\nunderstanding of operating systems and common operating environments\n Five (5) years of experience administering Splunk in distributed deployments\n Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work closely with multiple customers,\nmanage expectations and track engagement scope\n Proficient at data on-boarding activities including routing, parsing, and normalizing events to the\nSplunk Common Information Model (CIM)\n Proficient onboarding data using Splunk add-ons for Windows, Linux, and common third-party\ndevices and applications\n Experience onboarding data into Splunk via forwarder, scripted inputs, and modular inputs from\na variety of sources\n Experience with Splunk performing systems administration, including performing installation,\nconfiguration, monitoring system performance and availability, upgrades, and troubleshooting\n General knowledge of networking and security troubleshooting (firewalls, routing, NAT, etc.)\n Splunk implementation and troubleshooting experience\n Proficiency developing log ingestion and aggregation strategies per Splunk best practices\n Perform integration activities to configure, connect, and pull data with 3rd party software APIs\n Ability to autonomously prioritize and successfully deliver results\n Must have a Splunk Certified Architect certification\n Must have a DoD 8570 IAT Level II (or Level III) certification (e.g. Sec+ CE)\n All candidates must be US CITIZENS to be considered for the position\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience configuring and maintaining the tool in a multi-tenant environment\n Experience troubleshooting RSA and Windows integration.\n Experience troubleshooting RSA integration with Linux through PAM\n Experience troubleshooting Cisco ISE AAA\n Experience in troubleshooting LDAPS\n Experience with application integration with Radiant One through LDAPS\nCompensation: We are committed to providing fair and competitive compensation. The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation offered across the locations where we hire.
