Onyx is building the control layer that enables enterprises to safely adopt and scale AI agents across the organization, with the visibility, governance, and operational control needed to understand what agents exist, what they do, how they behave, and what risks they introduce.\nAbout the role\nOnyx is looking for a Product Manager to help shape the future of our AI security platform and lead the evolution of our AI Control Plane. This role sits at the intersection of customers, engineering, and security, translating real enterprise AI challenges into scalable product capabilities.\nYou will spend significant time working directly with customers and the go-to-market team to deeply understand how enterprises adopt AI agents, where control breaks down, and what risks matter most. This is a highly hands-on role where you will prototype solutions quickly using AI tools, validate them with customers, and then partner with engineering to bring proven ideas into production.\nWhat you will do\nSpend significant time in the field with customers, prospects, and the GTM team to develop a deep, firsthand understanding of where enterprises struggle with AI adoption and where visibility, governance, and control break down.\nRapidly prototype solutions using coding agents and AI tools before involving engineering, building working demonstrations that customers can react to within days.\nValidate prototypes directly with customers until you reach a clear, proven solution, then partner with engineering to deliver a de-risked product capability.\nDrive the product roadmap and strategic direction of Onyx’s AI Control Plane based on real customer insight, market dynamics, and product vision.\nPartner closely with R&D, Security, and GTM teams to prioritize and deliver high-impact capabilities, acting as the connective tissue between customer reality and engineering execution.\nLeverage AI tools extensively to increase speed, experimentation, and productivity across the product development process.\nRequirements\nWhat you will bring\n5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in enterprise software environments.\nExperience working on highly technical products such as cybersecurity, AI platforms, infrastructure, or developer tools.\nStrong ability to work directly with enterprise customers and translate complex problems into clear product direction.\nProven experience driving product decisions in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.\nStrong product judgment, prioritization skills, and end-to-end ownership mindset.\nExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders.\nStrong analytical thinking and a data-informed approach to product decisions.\nNice to Have\nExperience working on AI, LLM-based products, or AI governance / observability platforms.\nBackground working closely with security teams or enterprise security workflows.\nTechnical background (Engineering / Computer Science / equivalent hands-on experience).\nStrong AI-first mindset and comfort using AI tools in day-to-day product
