In this role, you will work closely with customers, Sales Engineers, Product, and Engineering to deliver successful Proofs of Concept (POCs) and solve complex technical challenges.\nEveryone at Onyx is a builder. In this role, you’ll contribute directly to the Onyx platform by building product features, developing proof-of-concepts for customers, and creating internal tools that improve, streamline, and accelerate the POC process.\nThis is a highly hands-on position for someone who enjoys diving deep into customer environments, working with data, building technical solutions, and creating value beyond the product itself. You'll play a key role in helping enterprise customers realize the full potential of our AI security platform while influencing product direction through real-world customer feedback.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead the technical execution of customer Proofs of Concept (POCs), from initial design through successful delivery.\nPartner with Sales Engineers to provide deep technical expertise throughout the sales cycle.\nBuild tools to accelerate deployments and demonstrate customer value.\nParticipate in customer workshops, architecture discussions, and live debugging sessions.\nAnalyze raw customer data to uncover insights and validate platform capabilities.\nDesign creative technical solutions that address customer use cases, even beyond the platform's out-of-the-box capabilities.\nTroubleshoot complex technical issues across customer environments and work closely with Engineering to resolve them.\nCollaborate with Product and R&D to communicate customer feedback and influence future product capabilities.\nBuild technical best practices, reusable assets, and implementation playbooks to improve future deployments.\nServe as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer journey.\nRequirements\nWhat You'll Bring\n5+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Solutions Engineering, Professional Services, Forward Deployed Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.\nStrong software engineering.\nExperience working with APIs, integrations, automation, and data processing.\nStrong understanding of Kubernetes, Linux, networking, containers, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).\nExperience analyzing datasets and troubleshooting complex technical environments.\nAbility to quickly understand customer architectures and design practical solutions.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.\nA proactive, customer-first mindset with a passion for solving challenging problems.\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.\nExperience with AI, cybersecurity, cloud-native technologies, or developer platforms.\nNice to Have\nExperience supporting enterprise POCs or large-scale deployments.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code.\nExperience working directly with Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmap
