We're excited to have you join us for your next career adventure!\nAbout the role\nWe’re looking for a Product Designer to join our Billing squad and help shape how CSPs bill, collect and get paid in gaiia. You’ll design clear, durable experiences for invoicing, payments, discounts and collections, working closely with product and engineering to go from problem to shipped solution.\nYou’ll work from user research, customer feedback, support tickets and conversations with our implementation team, and you’ll prototype quickly to test ideas with your squad before they ship. The goal is to make billing simpler, faster and more trustworthy for operators and their subscribers. You’ll also help evolve our Boréal design system so we can keep shipping consistently high-quality experiences as we scale.\nWhat is your team working on?\nFlexible billing: Building support for term contracts, deposits, installment payments, and usage-based billing for voice services.\nInvoicing: Giving operators the ability to preview invoices before they're sent and redesigning the invoices customers receive.\nPayments: Simplifying bulk payment imports, introducing Apple Pay and Google Pay at checkout, and improving payment processor configuration.\nCollections: Building delinquency and collections workflows that help operators meet regulatory requirements before disconnecting services.\nDiscounts: Giving operators more control over discount rules, custom reasons, and bulk updates across customer accounts.\nBilling configuration: Making billing and tax settings more flexible to support how different operators run their businesses.\nWhat you'll do at gaiia\nDesign end-to-end experiences for gaiia’s operational platform, from early concepts and prototypes to polished, shipped UI.\nWork closely with product and engineering to turn ambiguous problems into clear scopes, strong interaction models, and durable design decisions.\nUse research and rapid iteration to make complex workflows simpler, faster, and more trustworthy.\nUse AI tools like Claude to explore options faster, validate decisions sooner and ship your designs to production code alongside engineering.\nBuild and evolve our Boréal design system so teams can ship consistently high-quality experiences as the product scales.\nPartner with QA to review, test, with clear specs, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.\nRaise the bar on craft, accessibility, and clarity, sweating the details that make software feel effortless.\nQualifications\n5+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio that shows strong craft and clear thinking.\nExperience designing complex B2B software, ideally for communications service providers, ISPs or other subscription-based businesses. Experience with billing or payments is a plus.\nProficiency with design and prototyping tools like Figma, FigJam and Claude Design, and experience using Claude Code and user testing tools in your workflow.\nStrong grasp of user-centred design principles and the ability to translate customer needs into simple, high-quality experiences.\nExperience planning and running research (remote and on-site interviews, usability testing) and using insights to iterate.\nFamiliarity with mixed-method research, experimentation (A/B testing), and agile product development.\nClear, structured communication and the ability to build alignment across design, product, and engineering.\nComfort working in fast-moving, highly iterative environments where ideas evolve through open dialogue and shared work, and where leadership adjusts priorities quickly based on customer needs.\nOwnership mindset and growing leadership: you take responsibility for results, bring a point of view, align partners, and follow through.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to context-switch across multiple streams of work.\nOpenness to feedback, with a willingness to refine, rethink, and reimagine your work.\nBachelor’s degree in user experience design or a related field is a plus.\nSalary\nAt gaiia, we have a transparent salary philosophy and a robust evaluation and compensation framework.
