We partner deeply with teams across OpenAI to find, engage, and support the people who will shape the future of AI.\nAbout this Role\nWe’re looking for an experienced Business Recruiter to help build some of the most critical teams at OpenAI, primarily focused on technical business roles within our B2B and go-to-market organisation. You’ll also need the versatility to take on hiring across other teams as business priorities evolve.\nThis is a high-impact role where you’ll operate as a strategic talent partner not just executing searches, but shaping how we attract, assess, and hire exceptional talent globally. You’ll own searches end-to-end, working closely with senior stakeholders to define hiring strategies, navigate complex markets, and deliver outstanding outcomes.\nYou’ll report to the APAC Recruiting Lead and collaborate closely with global recruiting, People, and business leadership to scale our organisation in a thoughtful, high-quality way.\nYour responsibilities\nOwn end-to-end hiring for APAC roles, from scoping and calibration through to offer and close.\n\nPartner closely with senior business leaders to deeply understand team needs, define hiring strategies, and translate business priorities into actionable talent plans.\n\nBuild and execute proactive, data-informed sourcing strategies to attract high-calibre and diverse talent across competitive markets.\n\nAct as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, driving alignment, challenging assumptions, and maintaining a consistently high hiring bar.\n\nDeliver an exceptional candidate experience, ensuring every interaction reflects OpenAI’s values and mission.\n\nNavigate complex, global hiring environments by partnering with People, Legal, and Compensation to ensure consistency, fairness, and compliance.\n\nContinuously improve recruiting processes, identifying bottlenecks and implementing scalable solutions to increase quality and velocity.\n\nBring market intelligence and insights to stakeholders, influencing hiring decisions and shaping talent strategy.\n\nWe’re seeking:\n7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in-house at high-growth or high-bar environments.\n\nProven track record of hiring for business functions (e.g. Sales, Technical Success, RevOps, Partnerships, User Ops), preferably working on Technical roles.\n\nStrong talent judgment, you can assess both experience and potential, and consistently raise the bar.\n\nComfortable operating as a strategic partner, influencing senior stakeholders and navigating ambiguity.\n\nHighly execution-oriented, with the ability to run multiple complex searches simultaneously without sacrificing quality.\n\nSkilled in building pipelines from scratch, especially in competitive or emerging talent markets.\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across regions and cultures.\n\nData-informed and structured in your approach, using insights to guide decisions and improve outcomes.\n\nExperience with modern recruiting tools (e.g. Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter) and a mindset for leveraging new technologies.\n\nAbout OpenAI\nOpenAI is an AI research and deployment company dedicated to ensuring that general-purpose artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity.
