We’re not looking for someone who only reviews finished work or manages timelines. You should be someone who comes to the team with original concepts, knows how to turn an idea into a strong creative brief, can give clear direction across design, motion and video, and can push the work until it’s great.\nYou’ll work closely with our social, community, product marketing, and broader marketing teams to decide not just how our content should look, but what we should be making in the first place.\nWhat You’ll Own\nLead and manage our team of visual designers, motion designers, video editors, and other creative contributors.\n\nOwn creative direction and quality across OpenArt’s organic social channels.\n\nDevelop original creative concepts for product launches, social content, announcements, events, brand moments, recurring series, and other marketing initiatives.\n\nTurn ideas into clear creative briefs, scripts, storyboards, references, and directions that the team can execute.\n\nGive clear, actionable creative feedback across design, motion, video editing, storytelling, pacing, typography, composition, and visual execution.\n\nWork closely with the social and marketing teams to turn content needs into strong creative.\n\nConduct regular competitive and creative research across AI, technology, creator, entertainment, and social media brands.\n\nIdentify new formats, visual styles, trends, and content ideas worth testing.\n\nBuild repeatable creative formats and systems that allow the team to produce high-quality content at a fast pace.\n\nMaintain a consistent creative standard while still allowing us to test new styles and ideas.\n\nManage creative priorities and ensure projects move from concept to final delivery efficiently.\n\nHelp the creative team improve through regular feedback, coaching, and clear expectations.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n5+ years of experience in creative direction, social creative, content, design, video, or a related field.\n\nPrevious experience managing and directing multidisciplinary creative teams.\n\nA strong portfolio of social-first work across design, motion, and video.\n\nStrong creative judgment and the ability to explain why something works or doesn’t.\n\nExperience developing original concepts rather than only executing briefs.\n\nStrong understanding of social platforms and how creative needs to change across Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other channels.\n\nStrong familiarity with generative AI and the current AI creative ecosystem.\n\nExperience using or directing work made with AI image and video tools.\n\nAbility to research competitors, creative trends, and emerging formats and translate those findings into original ideas.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nComfortable working in a fast-moving environment with a high volume of creative output.\n\nComfortable working Pacific Time hours.
