This role will focus on modernizing and expanding our automated testing framework - transitioning existing test cases into Playwright, writing new automated tests for features being developed, and maintaining a reliable and scalable regression suite for continuous product quality. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to improve test coverage, accelerate releases, and help shape the automation strategy for a mission-critical healthcare scheduling platform used globally.\nKey Responsibilities\nTest Automation Development: Design, build, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright for web and mobile applications.\n\nFramework Ownership: Develop and enhance test automation frameworks, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and integration with CI/CD pipelines.\n\nRegression Coverage: Establish and maintain comprehensive automated regression testing\n\nCollaboration: Work closely with QA, Development, and Product teams to define testing strategies and ensure high-quality releases.\n\nContinuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into build pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and monitor results for continuous improvement.\n\nDefect Analysis: Analyze automation failures, debug issues, and collaborate with engineers to identify root causes.\n\nManual-to-Automation Transition: Convert key manual test scenarios into automated scripts to improve test efficiency and coverage.\n\nDocumentation: Maintain clear documentation of test plans, frameworks, and procedures.\n\nQuality Advocacy: Act as a champion for test automation best practices, contributing to the culture of quality.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.\n\n5-10 years of QA automation experience, preferably in a SaaS or healthcare technology environment.\n\nProven experience developing automation frameworks using Playwright (preferred), Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.\n\nStrong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with modern testing patterns (e.g., POM, data-driven testing).\n\nExperience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.).\n\nKnowledge of RESTful API testing, mocking, and test data management.\n\nUnderstanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.\n\nExcellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.\n\nStrong communication skills and ability to work in a distributed global team.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience testing mobile applications (Playwright Mobile, Appium, etc.).\n\nFamiliarity with QA Touch or similar test case management systems.\n\nKnowledge of Python, Groovy on Grails, or React is a plus.\nWorking Conditions\n\nFully dedicated to ImplantBase team tasks and priorities.\n\nRemote-first role with home office as the primary working location.\n\nRequired overlap of 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM EST to collaborate with US-based teams.\n\nFlexibility to work extended hours as needed to support key initiatives.\n\nRequired Video-On for all meetings\n\nAttendance at sprint activities such as standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
