Apply to join our team!\nJob Summary\nOpenEye is seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer II to play a key role in our DevOps Engineering Team. In this individual contributor role, you will drive up to production-level DevOps tasks, contribute technical expertise, and add significant value to our organization. The ideal candidate is a strong programmer or scripter, excels in working within a collaborative team, and operates independently in complex operational and production environments.\nAs a DevOps Engineer II, you will be responsible for the managing the cloud environment, assisting developers with the release and deployment of software, building, maintaining, and monitoring the health of the environment using a combination of technical proficiencies, organizational aptitude and interpersonal skills, as well as learning and progressing with evolving technology, including advance agentic workflows. You’ll leverage your expertise to improve our DevOps workflows, debug challenging issues, and ultimately independently oversee deployments and production systems.\nRole and Responsibilities\nMaintain highly available AWS-based infrastructure for global video and related services.\nProvide recommendations for platform scalability, performance, and cost optimization.\nOptimize CI/CD pipelines that deliver releases faster and more reliably.\nAutomate environment provisioning, system updates, and security patch workflows.\nCollaborate with developers to containerize workloads and streamline service deployments.\nPartner with the SRE team on advanced monitoring and alerting systems and to define and maintain service-level objectives (SLOs) and ensure they are met consistently.\nUtilize infrastructure patterns with security, scalability, and compliance in mind, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and future certification readiness.\nAssist in production deployments ensuring consistent adherence to compliance and operational procedures.\nDiagnose live production issues, identify root causes, and ship fixes.\nAssist with cloud cost optimization by refining resource allocation and scaling strategies.\nOther duties as assigned.\nThe Tech Stack\nAWS, Docker, K8s, Grafana, OTEL, Agentic AI, Git, GitOps, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, MySQL, CrateDB, and more.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.\n2+ years of DevOps or related experience.\nStrong AWS knowledge, including scaling, networking, security, and automation.\nStrong programming or scripting skills (Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages).\nExperience with CI/CD systems, infrastructure as code, and monitoring tools.\nProven track record of troubleshooting production systems under pressure.\nStrong communication skills for cross-team collaboration.\nPlease note that sponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization, or any other immigration-related support, is not available for this position at this time.\nThe Perks! \nThe pay range for this opportunity is $90,000- $125,000 annually.
