Learn more at www.openeye.net . \nAbout the Role\nJoin OpenEye's Quality Engineering organization as a Software QA Specialist II, where you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of OpenEye's cloud video, AI analytics, and hardware-integrated solutions.\nAs an experienced quality professional, you will partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Technical Support, and fellow Quality professionals to validate customer-facing functionality, identify product risks, and drive quality improvements throughout the software development lifecycle.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong manual testing expertise with growing technical capabilities, a deep understanding of product behavior, and the ability to contribute to test planning, investigation, and continuous quality improvement efforts.\nWhat You'll Do\nCollaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and stakeholders throughout Agile development cycles to ensure quality is built into products from planning through release.\nReview requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify quality risks and develop effective test coverage strategies.\nCreate, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, exploratory tests, and regression suites across cloud, web, firmware, hardware, and integrated platform solutions.\nValidate product functionality, usability, reliability, APIs, integrations, and customer workflows to ensure a high-quality customer experience.\nInvestigate, document, reproduce, and verify defects through resolution, including analysis of customer-reported issues and collection of diagnostic data.\nExecute and maintain automated test suites, analyze test results, and collaborate with Software Engineers in Test (SETs) to expand automated test coverage.\nPerform API testing, database validation, log analysis, and technical troubleshooting to support feature validation and root cause investigation.\nUtilize automation tools, AI-assisted testing solutions, and modern quality engineering practices to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and effectiveness.\nParticipate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and release readiness activities, providing a quality-focused perspective throughout the development lifecycle.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives, mentor junior team members, and share product, testing, and technical knowledge across the organization.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\nHigh School Diploma or GED required\n2+ years of software quality assurance, software testing, or related experience in an Agile environment.\nStrong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design, defect management, risk-based testing, and root cause investigation.\nExperience creating and executing test plans, test cases, exploratory tests, and regression test suites.\nHands-on experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms.\nWorking knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques.\nExperience analyzing application logs and troubleshooting complex software issues.\nExperience executing, maintaining, or contributing to automated test suites, with a strong understanding of test automation concepts and practices.\nFamiliarity with web applications, cloud platforms, client/server architectures, and hardware-integrated systems.\nExperience using Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps or similar agile, quality and defect management tools.\nExposure to AI-assisted testing tools and modern quality engineering practices is a plus.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality customer experiences.\nContinuous learning mindset with an interest in expanding technical, automation, and quality engineering capabilities.\nAbility to work on site at our Liberty Lake, WA headquarters.\nPerform all other duties as assigned.\nPlease note that sponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization, or any other immigration-related support, is not available for this position at this time. \nPerks at OpenEye: \nThe pay for this opportunity is $22.00 - $28.00 per hour.
