OPENLANE, a leader in automotive remarketing, is looking for a Lot Assistant with experience in coordinating vehicle inventory. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working at a dealership or similar organization, controlling vehicle inventory, and preparing vehicles for transport.\nThis is a casual position, typically scheduled for 2-4 shifts per week depending on business volume. Hours may range from 8:30am - 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.\nYou Are:\nAdaptable. You will be able to pause & shift tasks to assist other departments with priority requests.\n\nCareful. You are mindful of your surroundings, working safely and carefully.\n\nDependable. You are reliable and can be counted on to complete your tasks as assigned.\n\nSafe. We care about safety and you should too. You will operate a variety of motor vehicles safely, per our driver safety procedures.\n\nOrganized. You will be responsible for maintaining an organized and orderly lot to ensure efficient operations, including completing regular inventory scans.\n\nYou Will:\nEnsure vehicles are ready for auction and ensuring vehicles are in working order (i.e. boosting, adding gas, attending to lock outs, preparing for towing, and filling tires)\n\nAccurately record any services provided (fuel, tow, etc) to ensure accurate billing\n\nPrepare vehicles to move through our remarketing system, including staging vehicles for reconditioning shops or transportation as well as moving, marking, flagging, and/or staging vehicles as instructed.\n\nPhotograph vehicles post-reconditioning services\n\nProvides customer service by assisting customers or other internal departments in retrieving their vehicles\n\nAssist with vehicle stock in & check out process\n\nOperate vehicles under various weather conditions and may be required to manually remove snow through various means (clearing vehicles of snow, light shoveling in the yard, operating plow truck, bobcat, loader, etc.)\n\nAssist with snow and ice removal from lots, walkways, and egress routes.\n\nMaintain the exterior of the property, including light landscaping, removing trash, and general upkeep\n\nGeneral custodial duties, including cleaning of floors, and groundskeeping\n\nAssist Lot Manager with identifying and completing maintenance projects and repairs\n\nMust Haves:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\n\nValid Class 5 Drivers’ license is required\n\nBasic computer & smartphone skills required\n\nExperience working outside in all weather conditions\n\nStrong customer service and communication skills\n\nNice to Haves:\nAbility to drive both standard & automatic transmissions\n\nBilingual in French and English is ideal\n\nQualified/Experienced in operating plow trucks, bobcats, loaders, and/ or tow trucks is strongly preferred\n\nBeing licensed to operate motorcycles or ATVs\n\nSound like a match?
