Ideally, experience includes planning and ensuring preventative maintenance/service schedules are followed, partnering with sub-contractors as needed, and monitoring the overall facility for potential areas needing attention. \nYou Are:\nOrganized. You will balance requests from our VLC operations team to ensure facility maintenance, repair, and special projects are completed in a timely manner.\nDetailed. You have a keen attention to detail and ensure the site maintains a professional appearance.\nProactive. You identify opportunities for improvement, and take initiative to enhance the appearance, cleanliness, and productivity of our VLC facilities. \nCollaborative. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and leaders in other VLC departments to respond to requests.\nHandy. Comfortable rolling up your sleeves to pitch in, you are experienced in a variety of maintenance tasks including minor equipment repairs.\nSafety-conscious. You pay attention to your surroundings and work safely and carefully.\nYou Will:\nDevelop and maintain a thorough understanding of OPENLANE policies, processes, and procedures and the tools used by our facilities and VLC team.\nInspect equipment for signs of wear, tear, neglect, damage, previous repair, or required maintenance.\nDevelop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all VLC equipment and facilities.\nGeneral custodial duties, including cleaning of floors & sale lanes.\nGroundskeeping to maintain a professional exterior appearance.\nCoordinate subcontractors for maintenance and repair work, as needed.\nIdentify needs for major and minor maintenance projects, developing proposals, sourcing quotes, and planning workflow to minimize operational impact. \nMonitor equipment, spare parts, and supply inventories, optimizing stock levels and placing necessary orders.\nCoordinate urgent service requests and breakdowns to minimize operational downtime.\nAssist Operations Manager with identifying and completing maintenance projects and repair.\nSnow removal and de-icing of lots, driveways, and evacuation paths.\nEnsure compliance with all occupational health and safety regulations.\nMust Haves:\n3+ years experience in a facilities maintenance/management role\nValid Class 5 Drivers’ license is required\nBasic computer and smartphone skills\nSkilled/experienced in operating snowplows, Bobcats and loaders\nNice to Haves:\nAbility to drive manual and automatic transmissions\nLoader Operator License\nExperience coordinating subcontractors\nSound like a match?
