You will be responsible for performing general repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety standards and customer satisfaction. As part of our team, you will conduct mechanical inspections, troubleshoot issues, and resolve customer concerns efficiently. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician and the ability to perform repairs on both mechanical and electrical systems.\nYou Are:\nCustomer-Focused: Your priority is ensuring customer satisfaction by performing high-quality repairs and delivering exceptional service. You take pride in going the extra mile to ensure vehicles are serviced to the highest standards.\n\nSkilled Communicator: You have strong communication skills, allowing you to clearly explain repairs, provide status updates to customers, and collaborate effectively with teammates.\n\nAdaptable: You are flexible and can adjust to new technologies, procedures, and tools, ensuring the work is done efficiently and accurately.\n\nDetail-Oriented: You strive for excellence in every task, identifying issues accurately, diagnosing problems, and implementing effective solutions to ensure vehicles are returned to customers in top condition.\n\nYou Will:\nPerform general repair services, including mechanical inspections and repairs such as brake jobs, exhaust system repairs, front-end alignments, ball joint replacements, and air conditioning maintenance for auction vehicles.\n\nConduct general maintenance services, including oil and fluid changes, tire changes, and vehicle checkovers, while ensuring all safety procedures are adhered to.\n\nInspect vehicle undercarriages to identify any cracks, bends, or other damage.\n\nConduct pre- and post-sale inspections, including test drives, to assess vehicle condition.\n\nComplete motor vehicle safety inspections, including checks for body, frame, damage, transmission, differential, and overall powertrain integrity, and finalize required safety checklists.\n\nPerform general shop maintenance, pulling vehicles into the shop, and test driving vehicles for diagnostic purposes.\n\nProvide mentorship and assistance to apprentice technicians learning the trade.\n\nMay assist with sourcing parts and providing quotes to customers.\n\nMay help complete work orders, including recording parts and labor entries.\n\nPerform other administrative tasks as required.\n\nMust Have’s:\n Red Seal Automotive Service Technician (310S in Ontario)\n\nExtensive experience in repairing and servicing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems on a variety of vehicles.\n\nValid Driver’s License.\n\nTech Savvy - proficiency in computer and smartphone usage.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety.\n\nAutomotive Service Technician Certification.\n\nNice to Have’s:\nExperience mentoring apprentice technicians.\n\nDealership Experience\n\nExperience with OEM Diagnostics\n\nAbility to source parts and assist with customer quotes.\n\nPrevious experience in a busy repair shop environment.\n\nLocation:\nVars, ON (no public transportation available)\n\nHours:\n40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM\n\nPlease note: This is an hourly role at approximately 40 hours per week, not a flat-rate or project-based position.\nSound like a match?
