Strong background in optical and electrical device testing with experience in designing custom test hardware, ATE on the Advantest 93k platform, and programming in Python will elevate you above other candidates. The position is onsite at our Santa Clara, CA office and our San Jose, CA laboratory.\nWhat You Will Do\nDevelop custom test hardware for wafer level testing on automated wafer probers\n\nReview and recommend potential equipment suppliers, write project proposals for our key suppliers\n\nSpecify to our suppliers the designs of custom PCBAs and probe cards\n\nSpecifying test algorithms to be implemented in the test automation code, and reviewing the results\n\nProof of concept system design of alternative wafer test solutions\n\nCalibration of optical and RF probe cards\n\nOrdering and installing additional optical and RF test equipment, defining the test procedures, and verifying the test accuracy\n\nOptimizing test throughput and accuracy\n\nReviewing test results for accuracy and debugging failures\n\nOperate the test stations for prototype runs and hand off production testing to our OSAT partners\n\nTest automation software in C++ or Java, test analysis software in Python\n\nManaging schedules for test execution, and communicating with internal and external customers on the test plans, results, and project status\n\nYour Background Includes\nAdvanced degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering\n\nTest station hardware design experience\n\nATE test experience, preferably on the Advantest 93k platform\n\nHands on experience in a physics or electrical engineering lab or industry\n\nProgramming experience in Python\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment\n\nInitiative and ability to work independently\n\nAbout OpenLight\nOpenLight is growing as customer adoption and industry momentum continue to accelerate.
