We turn deep research into reliable, full-stack systems that drive discoveries in fields like medicine, energy, and technology, reshaping how the world computes.\nJoin the team that gives quantum a heartbeat.\nThe work\nWe are looking for two Sourcing Managers to join our Sourcing and Procurement team. You’ll own material categories that are critical to building our quantum computers, from cryomechanics and mechanical components to capital equipment, and make sure our supply keeps up as IQM moves from industrial operations towards series production.\nYou’ll take each category from the first sourcing discussions with R&D and production all the way to daily supplier management. That means finding the right suppliers, negotiating the contracts and keeping quality, delivery and cost on track, while thinking about what the category needs in the years ahead. You’ll work closely with engineering, R&D, production and projects, and help shape how IQM develops its strategic sourcing and supply chain models.\nWhat you’ll actually do\nOwn your material categories, such as cryomechanics, cryostats or mechanical components, and build the best possible supplier and parts portfolio for each\n\nJoin product development and production early to find sources, secure availability and set up contracts before parts are needed\n\nLead supplier negotiations on prices, contracts and delivery terms, and build strong long-term supplier relationships\n\nMonitor supplier quality, delivery and cost, and resolve issues together with suppliers and internal teams\n\nTake on capital equipment purchases: one-off buys where you negotiate prices, contracts, delivery terms and technical details\n\nScan the supplier market for second sources, outsourcing options and new ways to manufacture parts as our volumes grow\n\nDrive advanced supply chain management and reduce supply risks across critical technologies\n\nWork with R&D and partners on what our next technology generations will need from the supply chain\n\nUse data and KPIs to find savings and improve our sourcing processes and tools\n\nEnsure suppliers meet our quality, regulatory and ESG requirements\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nA degree in business, engineering, supply chain management or a related field\n\nSolid experience in sourcing, procurement or supply chain management, ideally 5+ years\n\nExperience from a manufacturing environment, ideally high-tech manufacturing\n\nA mix of commercial and technical understanding: you don’t need to be an engineer, but you’re comfortable with technical products, specs and part drawings\n\nProven negotiation and contract management skills\n\nStrategic thinking: you weigh what a decision means for us in the long run, not just what it costs today\n\nThe ability to keep many threads in hand, learn fast and make decisions without perfect information\n\nStrong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams\n\nFluent English, written and spoken\n\nSeen as an advantage\nWork experience in electronics, microelectronics, semiconductors, quantum technology or a similar field\n\nFamiliarity with cryostats, cryomechanics or custom mechanical parts and how they’re manufactured\n\nExperience managing critical suppliers in complex, international supply chains, including subcontracting or outsourcing\n\nExperience buying capital equipment, or developing ERP systems and procurement processes\n\nWhy IQM?\nFull-stack quantum computing: From quantum hardware to software layers and beyond, we build across the full-stack.\n\nHigh-performance playground: We aim high, and we know sustainable performance only works when life outside work does too-hybrid setups, flexible hours.\n\nNever the smartest: You won’t always be the smartest person in the room.
