You’ll work across the full solution lifecycle, from architecture, design and implementation through to testing, documentation and customer handover.\nThis is a highly collaborative, customer-facing role where you’ll work closely with customers, sales and delivery teams to turn business requirements into effective technical solutions. You don’t need to have every skill today - we’ll provide the training, mentoring and development opportunities to help you grow into a confident Technical Consultant.\nYou're great at:\nAs part of the OpenText Architecture Practice, you’ll help design and deliver technical solutions that meet customer needs and create lasting business value. You’ll:\nWork with customers and project teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.\nContribute to solution architecture and technical design, applying best practices across the OpenText portfolio.\nInstall, configure and implement OpenText software components, delivering projects to agreed timelines and quality standards.\nCreate clear, high-quality technical documentation to support solution delivery and ongoing operations.\nCommunicate technical options, recommendations and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nSupport pre-sales and bid activities, including technical solution design, scoping and effort estimation.\nIdentify opportunities to expand and enhance customer solutions through change requests and ongoing engagement.\nBuild strong relationships with customers and internal teams, managing expectations and ensuring successful delivery.\nWork across a variety of industries and projects, from fast-paced engagements to larger transformation programmes.\nProgressively take ownership of technical engagements, developing the skills and confidence to lead delivery with increasing autonomy.\nLearn from experienced consultants and a dedicated mentor while developing your consulting, architecture and technical expertise.\nTravel nationally and occasionally internationally, including customer-site engagement where required.\nWhat you need to succeed:\nPrevious experience working on technical implementation and software configuration projects, involving several of the following areas: \nDelivering enterprise wide solutions. Electronic Information Management experience is of benefit, but not essential.\nImplementation and Upgrades, systems Integration, system and unit testing approach and methodologies \nGood working knowledge of the following technologies: either Windows Server, Solaris, or Linux, SQL - either Oracle or SQL Server specific knowledge preferable. \nXML-related technologies and frameworks such as SAX, DOM, STAX.\nHTTP/HTTPS and related protocols. \nWeb Server Technologies, TCP/IP and basic networking protocol knowledge. \nLDAP and or Active Directory Experience & Cloud Technologies and practices.\nScripting Languages\nAn understanding software development lifecycle and industry standard frameworks.\nStrong interpersonal and people management skills.\nContributing to and writing detailed, quality documentation.\nParticipation in the pre-sales process and contributing to sales / bid documentation.\nAbility to build and manage strong customer relationships, both internal and external.\nAbility to use own initiative to resolve problems and to obtain relevant information needed to perform a given task.\nWillingness to travel (both UK and internationally).\nAny experience with OpenText products, in the Content Server, xECM, and Documentum space is highly desirable but not essential\nEligible to obtain high-level security clearance in the UK. \nOne Last Thing:\nOpenText is more than just a corporation, it's a global community where trust is foundational, the bar is raised, and outcomes are owned.\nOpenText's efforts to build an inclusive work environment go beyond simply complying with applicable laws.
