Join us.\nRole: Lead Site Reliability Engineer (Performance & Scalability)\nLocation: Lexington, KY, USA (Office-based)\nYour Impact:\nOpenText Communications is a leading Customer Communications Management (CCM) platform that enables organizations to design and deliver personalized customer communications across print, email, web, and mobile channels.\nWe are seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer (Performance & Scalability) to join the OpenText Communications Product Development organization. This role is focused on performance, observability, scalability, and production reliability across our cloud-based products and services.\nThis is not a QA performance testing role. We are seeking an experienced software and reliability engineer who can diagnose and resolve complex production performance issues, not simply execute load tests or create performance test scripts.\nWhat the role offers:\nLead investigations into complex production performance issues.\nDiagnose bottlenecks across applications, infrastructure, databases, cloud platforms, networks, and integrations.\nPerform root-cause analysis using telemetry, traces, logs, metrics, and profiling tools.\nDesign and implement observability using metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting.\nLead reliability improvements and mentor engineering teams.\nWhat you need to Succeed:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.\n7+ years of experience in software engineering, SRE, production engineering, or performance engineering.\nStrong proficiency in Java, C/C++, C#, .NET, Python, or similar.\nDemonstrated experience diagnosing and resolving complex production performance issues.\nExperience implementing and operating observability solutions.\nCandidates must demonstrate significant hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving production performance problems within complex enterprise platforms.\nExperience limited to performance test planning, scripting, execution, or QA-centric performance testing is not sufficient for this role.\nNice to have:\nExperience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.\nExperience with Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk, New Relic, AppDynamics, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Grafana.\nExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, and JVM tuning.\nOne last thing:\nOpenText is more than a corporation-it’s a global community built on trust, character, and purpose.
