The platform comprises solutions that simplify the inherent complexities of business-to-business (B2B) data exchange and offers insights that drive operational efficiencies, speed time to revenue and improve customer satisfaction.\nYour Impact\nThe Lead Software Engineer for Visibility is a senior, hands-on technical leader responsible for the design, development, support, and continuous evolution of Visibility solutions across TG Insights and legacy Visibility products.\nWorking closely with Lead Developers, Principal Engineers, Global Architects, Product Management, Professional Services, and Cloud Operations teams, this role provides technical leadership during North American business hours, helping drive architecture decisions, software delivery, client success, and operational excellence.\nWhat the role offers:\nAs a Lead Software Developer, you will:\nDesign, develop, enhance, and support scalable, secure, and high-performing Visibility solutions.\nTranslate business requirements into practical, maintainable, and efficient technical solutions.\nCollaborate with Global Architects and senior engineering leaders on architecture, design, and technology decisions.\nProvide technical leadership, mentorship, and engineering best practices across the Business Network Visibility organization.\nServe as a technical escalation point for development, production, and client-impacting issues.\nLead investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of critical production incidents and customer escalations.\nDrive improvements in reliability, observability, operational efficiency, and overall system performance.\nPartner closely with Professional Services during customer implementations, go-lives, and issue resolution activities.\nInfluence TG Insights product direction through deep Visibility domain expertise and technical insight.\nLeverage AI-assisted development tools and prompt engineering techniques to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity.\nWhat you need to Succeed:\nExpert-level experience with Java 17/21 and developing Spring Boot microservices. \nStrong expertise in distributed systems, REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration patterns. \nDeep experience with Apache Kafka, including consumer groups, partitioning, offset management, schema evolution, and event-driven architectures. \nHands-on experience with Oracle Database and Cassandra in scalable enterprise environments. \nProven ability to design, build, and support highly available, scalable enterprise applications with strong software architecture and design pattern expertise. \nExperience developing and operating cloud-native solutions in AWS and GCP, with a focus on resiliency, observability, and security best practices. \nHands-on experience with Kubernetes, Anthos, Istio Service Mesh, Helm, Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD. \nExperience supporting enterprise SaaS platforms, production incident resolution, AI-assisted software development, globally distributed teams, and large-scale event-driven architectures in supply chain, logistics, transportation, visibility, or enterprise analytics domains.\n7 + yrs of hands on development experience required\nOne last thing\nOpenText is more than a corporation-it’s a global community built on trust, character, and purpose.
