Join us.\nYOUR IMPACT :\nAs a Lead Software Developer in the Digital Experience Web Experience Management team, you will drive the design, development, troubleshooting, and enhancement of enterprise software products. You will leverage your expertise in Java/J2EE, enterprise application architecture, databases, and production diagnostics to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality software.You will take ownership of complex technical challenges, guide engineering best practices, and collaborate with Engineering, QA, Support, and Product Management teams. You will also leverage AI-assisted development tools and GenAI technologies to improve engineering productivity, automation, and software quality while mentoring engineers and contributing to technical decisions.\nWHAT THE ROLE OFFERS :\nLead technical design and development of complex enterprise software features using Java/J2EE.\n\nContribute across the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, estimation, design, coding, testing, and maintenance.\n\nDevelop, troubleshoot, and optimize applications using Spring/Spring Boot and enterprise application technologies.\n\nWork with PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle databases, including SQL troubleshooting and performance analysis.\n\nDiagnose complex production issues using logs, thread dumps, network traces, profiling, and other diagnostic tools.\n\nReview application architecture and code, identify technical risks, and drive issues through resolution.\n\nImprove application security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.\n\nSupport production troubleshooting, customer escalations, and application vulnerability remediation.\n\nWork with REST APIs, XML, JSON, web/application servers, and application integration and deployment processes.\n\nApply Git, code review practices, CI/CD, build systems, and modern software development methodologies.\n\nLeverage AI-assisted development tools and GenAI technologies to improve coding, troubleshooting, automation, and developer workflows.\n\nMentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and raise engineering standards through design and code reviews.\n\nCollaborate with Engineering, QA, Support, Product Management, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.\n\nWHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED :\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.\n\n10+ years of software development experience, including technical design and delivery of complex enterprise software.\n\nStrong expertise in Java/Core Java and Java/J2EE development.\n\nExperience with Spring/Spring Boot and enterprise web applications.\n\nStrong SQL and database skills, including PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle.\n\nExcellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\n\nExperience diagnosing production issues and supporting customer escalations.\n\nUnderstanding of application security and vulnerability remediation.\n\nExperience with technical design, code reviews, and software engineering best practices.\n\nStrong ownership, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.\n\nExperience with AI/GenAI development and AI agents.\n\nPython or Perl scripting.\n\nApplication server administration and deployment.\nNetwork tracing and diagnostics.\n\nAutomation and CI/CD practices,Containers and DevOps technologies with Cloud technologies.\nLegacy application modernization.\n\nExperience with HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, REST, XML, JSON, and enterprise application integration.\n\nExperience with AI-assisted development tools and developer productivity workflows.\n\nONE LAST THING :\nOpenText is more than just a corporation, it's a global community where trust is foundational, the bar is raised, and outcomes are owned.
