Join us.\nRole Overview\nWe are looking for a Principal Solutions Consultant - Cybersecurity to act as a senior strategic and technical advisor across Application Security, Data Security and Identity & Access Management.\nThe role is focused on complex and strategic client engagements where cybersecurity requirements extend beyond a single product or domain. The Principal Solutions Consultant connects capabilities across Fortify, Voltage and NetIQ, translating client priorities and security challenges into coherent solution approaches and relevant use cases.\nAlongside strong technical credibility, the role requires a strategic and client-focused mindset and a practical understanding of AI, including how AI can strengthen cybersecurity capabilities and how enterprise AI adoption creates new security requirements.\nThe role covers clients in German-speaking and international markets and is carried out in both languages, so fluency in German and English is required.\nKey Responsibilities\nAct as a senior strategic and technical advisorand subject matter expert for complex cybersecurity opportunities and strategic client engagements.\n\nTake a cross-portfolio approach, connecting capabilities across:\n\nApplication Security\n\nData Security\n\nIdentity & Access Management\n\nUnderstand the client’s business and security priorities and translate them into relevant solution approaches and use cases.\n\nIdentify opportunities where multiple cybersecurity capabilities can address a broader client requirement rather than positioning individual products in isolation.\n\nLead technical discovery, workshops and solution discussions with security leaders, architects and other senior client stakeholders, in German and in English.\n\nShape solution approaches for complex and strategic opportunities, balancing business requirements, technical feasibility and client value.\n\nSupport and drive demonstrations, technical evaluations and Proofs of Concept where appropriate.\n\nDevelop reusable cross-portfolio use cases, solution approaches, technical narratives and demonstration concepts.\n\nBring a strong understanding of AI, Generative AI and emerging AI technologies, including their impact on cybersecurity and the new security requirements created by enterprise AI adoption.\n\nIdentify practical opportunities for applying AI within cybersecurity solutions and client use cases.\n\nContribute to technical enablement and knowledge sharing across the wider organization.\n\nBring client and market feedback into Product Management and Engineering to help identify portfolio gaps, integration opportunities and emerging requirements.\n\nCollaborate across the wider OpenText portfolio where client requirements extend beyond cybersecurity.\n\nExperience & Capabilities\nThe ideal candidate combines technical depth, strategic thinking and strong client-facing skills.\nCandidates are not expected to bring all of the areas below in equal depth. Strong expertise in one cybersecurity domain, together with the ability to work across the others, matters more than deep knowledge of every area.\nMust-haves\nSignificant experience in cybersecurity Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, Security Architecture or a comparable client-facing technical role.\n\nStrong expertise in at least one of Application Security, Data Security or Identity & Access Management, with a working understanding of the other two.\n\nExperience with complex enterprise security environments and strategic client opportunities.\n\nStrong technical discovery and solution-design skills, including the ability to connect technologies into broader cybersecurity use cases.\n\nAbility to engage credibly with both technical specialists and senior client stakeholders.\n\nFluent German and English, written and spoken, with the ability to run workshops, demonstrations and executive discussions and to produce client-facing material in both languages.\n\nStrong communication, presentation and storytelling skills, and the ability to translate technical capabilities into clear client value.\n\nA collaborative mindset and the ability to work across Sales, Product Management and Engineering.\n\nAn interest in how AI is changing cybersecurity and a willingness to bring it into client conversations.\n\nNice-to-haves\nDepth in more than one of Application Security, Data Security and Identity & Access Management.\n\nFamiliarity with the OpenText Cybersecurity portfolio (Fortify, Voltage, NetIQ) or comparable tools in these areas.\n\nPractical knowledge of AI, Generative AI and LLM technologies and their implications for enterprise cybersecurity.\n\nExperience developing reusable use cases, solution approaches or demonstration concepts.\n\nExposure to a broader technology portfolio beyond cybersecurity.\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\nThe Principal Solutions Consultant becomes a trusted advisor for our most complex and strategic cybersecurity engagements.\nThey can move from an individual client challenge to a broader security conversation, identify where Fortify, Voltage and NetIQ can create value individually or together, and shape a coherent technical approach around the client’s environment and priorities.
