About the role

OpenUp is continuously innovating and building new products and services to increase our impact on employee wellbeing. In the New Ventures team, we take new ideas from pilots to services that can run at scale, working closely with our Commercial, Product & Tech, and Expert teams.

One of our key projects is scaling our new on-site PMO offering (‘Preventief Medisch Onderzoek’), a preventative health check for employees, conducted by OpenUp lifestyle doctors. We are looking for a Project Manager to own this project end-to-end. In this role, you will be the daily driving force behind our PMO offering. You will lead the 3-6 month strategy, work on commercials with new clients, and head up the execution of on-site PMOs. This is an opportunity to explore the full commercial go-to-market of a new service, from strategy to selling to execution. PMO is the first project you will pick up, and as soon as this is running at speed, new projects will be added.

You will report to our Head of New Ventures (part of our Commercial leadership team), and work closely with our medical experts and other HQ teams. The role will be based in Amsterdam (including minimum 3 days from our office at Kalverstraat), working in both Dutch and English.

What you’ll do

You will explore the full commercial go-to-market of a new service, from strategy to selling to execution:

• Own the 3-6 month strategy: set targets, actively monitor progress against them, and adjust where necessary
• Drive commercial growth: lead the marketing and sales approach, work on commercials with new clients, and train our Commercial teams to sell PMO themselves
• Head up the execution of on-site PMOs end-to-end, from planning and logistics with clients and our medical experts to participant communications, reporting, and feedback, rolling up your sleeves where needed
• Shape the offering: translate what you hear from clients into product and process improvements and new opportunities, and work with our Product team to build those improvements into our platform
• Build PMO to scale: develop structured playbooks so other teams can run PMO on their own, and work with Recruitment to grow our pool of medical experts

What you bring

We are looking for an all-round profile - someone with commercial and strategic ownership, but who is not afraid to get their hands dirty

• 3-5 years of working experience in a fast-moving environment (e.g., scale-up, consultancy)
• Able to deal with ambiguity and operate independently in a fast-moving environment
• Highly structured: you plan ahead, keep a clear overview of priorities across multiple clients and strategic projects, and flag blockers / challenges early and proactively
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills: you enjoy close contact with clients and working with different teams, manage expectations, and get the right input at the right time
• Proactive: you identify what needs doing and do it, and take ownership from start to finish
• Entrepreneurial mindset: you are able to think on your feet and spot new opportunities based on client feedback
• Solid Excel skills (e.g., you can build planning tools, work out pricing, and analyze margins)
• Business-level Dutch & English; German is a plus
• Willing to occasionally travel to client sites to oversee on-site delivery

How we set you up for success

You won’t start from scratch: PMO has already been piloted successfully, and you’ll build on the processes and materials from those pilots. We’ll make sure you have a solid onboarding to get to know the service, the team, and our clients. You'll work closely with our Head of New Ventures as your sparring partner, with regular coaching and feedback.
