We look for people who are comfortable exploring what comes next, challenging assumptions, using data to make decisions, and working closely with engineering and design to bring ideas from discovery to users.\nRepresentative Areas of Work\nOpportunities within this function may include responsibilities such as:\nDevelop a deep understanding of user needs, behaviors and pain points through product data, research, experimentation and direct user insights.\n\nMonitor the market, competitive landscape and emerging technologies to identify shifts in user behavior and new product opportunities.\n\nTranslate user and business needs into clear product problems, hypotheses, requirements and priorities.\n\nContribute to product strategy and roadmaps, balancing user value, business impact, technical possibilities and delivery considerations.\n\nWork closely with Engineering, Design, Data and other teams throughout product discovery, development, launch and iteration.\n\nDefine relevant product metrics and use quantitative and qualitative insights to evaluate performance and guide product decisions.\n\nDevelop and evaluate experiments to improve areas such as onboarding, activation, engagement and retention.\n\nTurn complex technologies and capabilities into intuitive, useful and engaging experiences for end users.\n\nGather feedback and performance insights after launch and use them to continuously improve the product.\n\nCommunicate product direction, priorities, trade-offs and results clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nWhat We Typically Look For\nExperience in Product Management within B2C technology, consumer software, mobile or desktop applications, or other digital products reaching end users.\n\nExperience working across the product lifecycle, from discovery and validation through development, launch, measurement and iteration.\n\nStrong product judgment and the ability to identify opportunities from user needs, behavioral insights and market developments.\n\nStrong analytical skills, with experience using product metrics, experimentation and qualitative insights to inform decisions.\n\nAbility to work closely with Engineering and Product Design, understand technical possibilities and constraints, and translate them into effective user experiences.\n\nAbility to navigate ambiguity, prioritize competing opportunities and make well-reasoned product trade-offs.\n\nStrong interest in consumer technology, evolving digital behaviors and emerging technologies.\n\nOwnership mindset, combining strategic thinking with hands-on product execution.\n\nStrong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with professional fluency in English.\n\nExperience with browsers, consumer internet products, search, content discovery, productivity or other frequently used digital products would be valuable.\n\nExposure to areas such as web technologies, browser ecosystems, AI-powered experiences, personalization, recommendation systems or products operating at international scale would be an advantage.\n\nInterested in Future Opportunities at Opera?\nWe’d like to hear from you.
