Our engineers work on sophisticated browser and consumer-product experiences, turning complex technologies and emerging capabilities into intuitive, fast and engaging user experiences used at global scale.\nRole & Responsibilities\nDepending on the team and opportunity, you could:\nDesign and build sophisticated user-facing experiences for browser and consumer technology products.\n\nDevelop maintainable, performant and scalable frontend solutions using modern web technologies.\n\nTranslate complex product and technical capabilities into intuitive user experiences.\n\nBuild interfaces for new and emerging product capabilities, including AI-powered experiences.\n\nSolve engineering challenges related to frontend performance, responsiveness, reliability and cross-platform behavior.\n\nWork closely with Product, Design, backend and other engineering teams from early concepts through production delivery.\n\nContribute to technical design, testing, code quality and frontend engineering best practices.\n\nJob Requirements\nWe are interested in engineers with:\nStrong professional frontend or software engineering experience.\n\nAdvanced JavaScript and TypeScript skills.\n\nStrong experience with modern frontend technologies and frameworks.\n\nSolid understanding of frontend architecture, browser APIs, performance and modern web-development practices.\n\nExperience delivering complex, high-quality user-facing products.\n\nStrong understanding of software engineering principles, testing and maintainable code.\n\nStrong product mindset and problem-solving skills.\n\nExperience collaborating effectively with Product, Design and other engineering teams.\n\nPreferred / Nice to Have\nExperience in one or more of the following areas would be valuable:\nReact or comparable modern frontend frameworks.\n\nBrowser features, browser extensions or browser technologies.\n\nDesktop or cross-platform applications.\n\nComplex consumer-facing digital products.\n\nChromium, browser architecture or web-platform technologies.\n\nAI-powered interfaces or highly interactive product experiences.\n\nFrontend performance profiling, automated testing and optimization at scale.\n\nInterested in Future Opportunities at Opera?\nIf your background aligns with the type of frontend engineering we do at Opera, we’d be interested in hearing from you.\nThis opportunity forms part of our ongoing frontend engineering talent pipeline in Poland.
