This role ensures new designs are consistent, practical, and ready for global deployment.\n Key Responsibilities\nHardware Platform Development & Integration\nLead integration of rack-level hardware platforms for data center deployment\nEnsure designs meet requirements for mechanical integrity, thermal performance, serviceability, and scale\nDrive system-level design across compute, cooling, and infrastructure interfaces\nPartner with internal and external teams to validate designs\nData Center Interface & Deployment Readiness\nDefine platform interfaces with infrastructure, including:Liquid cooling (CDUs, fluid routing, connections)\nInstallation, transport, and handling\nFacility interfaces (space, power, cooling, serviceability)\n\nEnsure deployment readiness and resolve gaps impacting scale\nTelemetry & Observability\nDefine telemetry requirements (power, temperature, flow, pressure, system health)\nEnsure instrumentation is enabled at deployment\nPartner with software/data teams to support monitoring and analysis\nIdentify and close gaps in telemetry coverage and data quality\nStandards & Documentation\nDrive standardization across rack platforms\nEstablish best practices for connections, transport, leak detection, and instrumentation\nMaintain documentation as a source of truth\nCross-Functional Leadership\nCollaborate across OHD, engineering, operations, supply chain, and software teams\nAlign with external partners (OEMs, silicon vendors)\nDrive technical decisions and bring structure to complex efforts\nIssue Resolution & Continuous Improvement\nTrack and resolve platform issues, especially during early deployment\nLead root cause analysis and corrective actions\nUse field data and telemetry insights to improve designs and processes\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline\n6+ years in hardware engineering, mechanical systems, or data center infrastructure\nExperience with complex, rack- or system-level hardware\nStrong foundation in mechanical, thermal, and/or fluid systems\nExperience with hardware instrumentation/telemetry is a plus\nProven ability to drive outcomes across teams\nStrong problem-solving and communication skills\nPreferred Qualifications\nData center infrastructure and rack-level design experience\nFamiliarity with liquid cooling (e.g., direct-to-chip, CDU systems)\nExperience with platform standardization or system integration at scale\nExperience working with hardware vendors or OEMs\nExposure to high-density compute platforms (e.g., GPUs)\nExperience supporting deployment or commissioning\nFamiliarity with telemetry or performance monitoring systems\nWhat We’re Looking For\nOwnership: Takes responsibility beyond defined scope\nSystems Thinking: Understands hardware, infrastructure, and operations holistically\nExecution: Drives progress in ambiguity\nCollaboration: Influences across teams\nDetail Orientation: Ensures designs are practical and deployment-ready\n Disclaimer:Certain U.S. based or U.S. customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization/occupational health mandates, and/or drug testing requirements.\nRange and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only\nUS: Hiring Range in USD from: $114,600 to $234,600 per annum.
