Oversees documentation, quality control, site walks, startup and commissioning activities, risk mitigation, vendor and contractor management, and ensures power, cooling, networking, bulk fiber, Metro connection, and structured cabling installations meet approved OCI design specifications and industry standards.\n*This role requires up to 50% domestic travel *\n Key Responsibilities\nConstruction Project Management-Project Planning and Execution:\nOperate as a mission critical delivery leader to resolve high-priority, high-risk program challenges.\n\nProvide onsite leadership during the final deployment stages of large-scale AI data center builds, driving execution through cabling, validation, CPV testing, commissioning, and handover.\n\nEstablish program governance, risk management frameworks, and reporting mechanisms.\n\nProvides strategic oversight and leadership for the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring the completion of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.\n\nDevelops, maintains, and provides executive oversight for comprehensive project schedules, ensuring strategic coordination with colocation providers for the successful delivery of all project milestones.\n\nLeads and oversees the strategic creation, management, and optimization of project budgets, ensuring the efficient use of resources and cost-effective delivery of projects across the organization.\n\nOversees the creation, review, and maintenance of documentation, including design review, commissioning, and problem-solving papers, ensuring high standards are maintained, documents are effectively managed and delivered, and all materials meet their intended purpose.\n\nConstruction Project Management-Project Integration and Quality Assurance:\nLead site walks, startup, commissioning, and validation activities to ensure deploymentreadiness.\n\nDirects the implementation and oversight of quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards.\n\nStrategizes and leads the coordination and integration of tenant fit out projects, optimizing efforts throughout design, construction, and commissioning phases for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.\n\nConducts strategic site walks to ensure schedule adherence, coordination, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nProvides executive oversight and strategic leadership for the startup and commissioning phases of major data center projects, ensuring that all systems are operational and meet design specifications.\n\nRisk and Problem Management:\nIdentify and resolve deployment blockers, resource constraints, material shortages, vendor performance issues, and other delivery risks.\n\nLeads the evaluation of risk profiles associated with timely project delivery across a portfolio of projects.\n\nIdentifies critical gaps in risk identification and mitigation and drives organizational-wide initiatives to address these gaps.\n\nDevelops and ensures the execution of comprehensive mitigation strategies for major construction project risks to ensure overall project success.\n\nStakeholder and Vendor Management:\nBuild strong partnerships with internal organizations, including CHS Rack Deployment, CNE, Build, LVV, and DCFE, to resolve execution gaps.\n\nLeads the role of primary point of contact between the company and colocation providers, ensuring clear and effective communication, addressing long-term strategic issues, and acting as the primary liaison for escalated or high-risk matters.\n\nDevelops and maintains strategic relationships to support internal and external stakeholders at a high level, driving strategic initiatives and organizational goals.\n\nDesign Coordination and Improvement:\nDirects collaboration with design teams to ensure that construction activities align with the approved design plans and specifications, addressing long-term strategic design issues.\n\nProvides high-level colocation provider evaluation input for continuous improvement, driving strategic initiatives and organizational goals.\n\nOversees the installation of power, cooling, networking, and structured cabling systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards and resolving high-stakes installation challenges.\n\nCore Responsibilities\nPlanning & Execution:\nManages and provides direction on timelines, deliverables, and budgets when applicable for critical high-impact projects or initiatives that impact the line of business, ensuring timely completion and adherence to requirements.
