You will be deeply hands-on, owning early prototypes through production-ready platform software and technical standards.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nStrong background in operating systems development.\nProficiency in C programming and kernel-level debugging.\nSeveral years of hands-on Unix/Linux kernel development experience preferred.\nKnowledge of security technologies including TPM, Secure Boot, kernel signing, and encryption frameworks.\nIn depth knowledge of ARM, Intel, and AMD platforms and what chipsets do.\nFamiliarity with Python and Bash scripting for development and automation tasks. \nKey Responsibilities\nMake Oracle Linux work on various embedded platforms (ARM, Intel, AMD). Knoweldge of ISA and chipsets is key.\n\nContribute and extend open-source software in: Linux kernel, uboot, ATF.\n\nCo-design and develop images for these platforms.\n\nPlay a significant role in platform bring-up, firmware updates, platform-level diagnostics, and complex cross-layer debugging.\n\nDiagnose and resolve complex issues across software, firmware, and hardware layers, working in DevOps and incident response paradigms to maintain reliability and availability.\n\nSoftware Development and Coding:\nDesigns software solutions and analyzes and identifies requirements to achieve business and operational goals, sharing results with manager upon completion.\n\nAdheres to and improves execution of all phases of the software development lifecycle; provides guidance and coaching to engineers to drive improvements.\n\nUtilizes advanced knowledge to develop and guide new software features and enhancements leading design specifications, ensuring accessibility, and develops documents to clarify software design and code.\n\nLeads code reviews in multiple areas to help drive improvements.\n\nConducts debugging and troubleshooting to identify and fix complex software issues.\n\nDevelops fixes for identified issues.\n\nImplements comprehensive software testing (e.g., functional and non-functional testing), quality assurance processes, software error logging, monitoring, and observability for effective debugging, sharing work with manager and/or lead upon completion.\n\nConducts performance profiling and optimization of coding, building scalable solutions, and anticipating and resolving potential outcomes.\n\nTroubleshoots and resolves complex issues related to application programming interface (API) functionality and integration.
