Using these insights, you'll shape testing priorities and improve coverage of real-world workloads\nThe ideal candidate brings deep Oracle RDBMS expertise, understands enterprise database architectures, and can translate real customer deployment patterns into high-value quality initiatives that improve reliability, scalability, availability, and performance.\nWhat You'll Do\nBecome the subject matter expert on how customers deploy, operate, and scale Oracle Database across enterprise environments.\n\nEstablish customer engagement mechanisms-including customer advisory forums, internal working groups, and data-driven feedback channels-to continuously capture deployment patterns, operational pain points, and emerging workloads.\n\nAnalyze customer telemetry, support trends, benchmark workloads, and field feedback to identify testing gaps and opportunities.\n\nTranslate customer usage patterns into improved functional, stress, performance, and reliability testing.\n\nDrive Oracle Database-specific testing strategies that better represent customer deployments across on-premises, OCI, and hybrid environments.\n\nIdentify opportunities to simplify and improve testing tools and processes while minimizing disruption to engineering teams.\n\n Key Responsibilities\nCustomer Insight and Quality Strategy\nBuild ongoing mechanisms to understand customer deployments, workloads, upgrade strategies, operational practices, and pain points at an architectural level.\n\nDevelop relationships across Sustaining engineering and strategic customers.\n\nConvert customer insights into actionable improvements in testing strategy and product quality.\n\nOracle Database Testing Strategy\nDefine testing priorities based on real Oracle Database customer workloads.\n\nImprove functional, stress, performance, HA, upgrade, and scalability testing using production-inspired scenarios.\n\nEnsure testing reflects Oracle-specific architectures including RAC, Data Guard, Multitenant, Exadata, OCI, Autonomous Database integrations, and hybrid deployments where applicable.\n\nQuality Engineering Enablement\nDefine meaningful quality metrics and dashboards.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n10-15 years of experience in software quality engineering, database engineering, software architecture, or related technical leadership roles.\n\nDeep expertise with Oracle Database technologies and enterprise database deployments.\n\nStrong understanding of Oracle Database customer environments, operational practices, and enterprise workloads.\n\nExperience designing or leading functional, performance, scalability, stress, and reliability testing for enterprise software.\n\nAbility to translate customer requirements into testing priorities.\n\nExperience working across Development, QA, Sustaining Engineering, and customer-facing organizations.\n\nExcellent communication and executive presentation skills.\n\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends from customer data, telemetry, and support feedback.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience with Oracle Database internals and enterprise features such as RAC, Data Guard, Multitenant, ASM, Exadata, GoldenGate, and OCI Database Services.\n\nExperience analyzing customer telemetry, support data, benchmark workloads, or production performance trends.\n\n Disclaimer:Certain U.S. based or U.S. customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization/occupational health mandates, and/or drug testing requirements.\nRange and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only\nUS: Hiring Range in USD from: $169,800 to $355,400 per annum.
