The role will involve improving system reliability, performance, scalability, and operational efficiency while working closely with development and platform teams.\n\nKey Responsibilities :\n\n- Design, deploy, and manage highly available and scalable infrastructure on GCP.\n\n- Own production infrastructure, reliability, availability, performance, and operational excellence.\n\n- Build and maintain GKE/Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads.\n\n- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.\n\n- Automate repetitive operational tasks using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.\n\n- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.\n\n- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability using Google Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and other tools.\n\n- Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs for critical services.\n\n- Participate in production incident management, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.\n\n- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and scalability assessments.\n\n- Implement high-availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business-continuity strategies.\n\n- Identify reliability risks and proactively implement solutions to reduce system downtime.\n\n- Work with development teams to improve application reliability and deployment processes.\n\n- Establish and improve operational runbooks, automation, and self-healing mechanisms.\n\n- Support security and compliance requirements across cloud infrastructure.\n\n- Participate in on-call/production support activities when required.\n\nRequired Technical Skills :\n\nGCP :\n\n- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.\n\n- Experience with GKE, Compute Engine, VPC, IAM, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Monitoring & Logging, Secret Manager.\n\n- Good understanding of GCP networking, IAM, security, and cost optimization.\n\nKubernetes & Containers :\n\n- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and GKE.\n\n- Docker/containerization.\n\n- Kubernetes networking, deployments, services, ingress, configmaps, secrets, RBAC, and troubleshooting.\n\n- Experience with Helm and Kubernetes operators is preferred.\n\nInfrastructure as Code :\n\n- Strong experience with Terraform.\n\n- Experience designing reusable Terraform modules and managing infrastructure through Git-based workflows.\n\nCI/CD & DevOps :\n\n- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles.\n\n- Hands-on experience with tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD.\n\n- Experience implementing automated deployment and rollback strategies.\n\nObservability & Reliability :\n\n- Experience with monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting.\n\n- Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry or equivalent tools.\n\n- Strong understanding of SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, Error Budgets, Incident Management, RCA.\n\nLinux & Networking :\n\n- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.\n\n- Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Load Balancing, SSL/TLS, Network troubleshooting, Firewall and security concepts.\n\nScripting & Automation :\n\n- Strong scripting experience in Python and/or Bash.\n\n- Ability to build automation tools and operational scripts.\n\nGood to Have :\n\n- GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification.\n\n- Experience with GitOps and ArgoCD.\n\n- Experience with service mesh such as Istio.\n\n- Experience with SRE frameworks and practices.\n\n- Experience with chaos engineering and resilience testing.\n\n- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.\n\n- Experience with FinOps/cloud cost optimization.\n\n- Exposure to security best practices and DevSecOps.\n\n- Experience working in 24x7 production environments.\n\nRequired Soft Skills :\n\n- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\n- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging ability.\n\n- Good communication and documentation skills.\n\n- Ability to work independently and take ownership of production systems.\n\n- Strong incident management
