Our writing technology has gone on to provide functionalities across many scientific and industrial areas.\nOur technology provides a platform for functional devices in transparent materials such as optical glass and diamond, with several disruptive applications ranging from datacoms, quantum to sensing devices.\nTHE ROLE\nWorking across our R&D, Engineering, Sales and Business Development teams, you will be responsible for delivering engaging technical communications that translate complex concepts into clear, compelling content for customers, partners, prospective employees and internal stakeholders.\nYou will create and manage a range of content including articles, case studies, presentations, newsletters, website updates, social media communications and marketing materials, helping to showcase Opsydia's technology, innovation and expertise.\nA key part of the role is working with teams across the business to capture technical developments, project successes and customer impact, turning these into effective stories that strengthen our brand, support commercial growth and enhance employee engagement.\nYou will also lead the planning and coordination of exhibitions, conferences, and internal events, ensuring every interaction reflects the professionalism, innovation and culture of the business and that the team have the appropriate materials and collaterals fit for purpose.\nIn addition, you will support internal communications, helping to bring the company's vision, strategy, brand and values to life, reinforcing Opsydia as both a technology leader and a great place to work.\nYou will conduct market and competitor research, support campaign planning and performance reporting, and ensure communications, marketing and event activities are delivered efficiently and effectively.\nABOUT YOU\nYou must be able to demonstrate that you have the following: -\nExceptional written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and scientific concepts into clear, engaging and audience-appropriate content.\nProven experience of personally producing high-quality technical, marketing or corporate communications and collateral content across a variety of channels.\nConfidence working with engineers, scientists and technical subject matter experts to extract information and develop compelling narratives.\nExcellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines simultaneously.\nExperience working within an engineering, scientific, manufacturing or high-technology environment; experience within the laser, photonics or optics sector would be highly desirable.\nStrong digital marketing competency, including website content management, social media, email marketing and analytics platforms.\nExperience planning and coordinating exhibitions, conferences, customer events and trade shows, including international logistics where required.\nExperience developing internal communication campaigns and employee engagement initiatives.\nA proactive and innovative approach to identifying new communication, engagement and marketing opportunities.\nThe ability to build strong relationships and work effectively across R&D, engineering, production, Sales and Business Development teams.\nDevelopment and control of marketing budgets in collaboration with finance teams.\nYou may also have: -\nExperience in engagement with technological institutions\nInterest in the laser and optics technology industry\nCRM experience, e.g. Salesforce, Hubspot or other\nGraphic design experience \nWe aim to build a world-class team with complementary skills and can expect applicants with significant experience to take leadership roles on projects.\nThis is a full-time role and hybrid working arrangements are welcomed, however please note that the role requires in-person presence in Oxford.\nAs part of the recruitment process a selected candidate will be required to undergo security screening to BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard).\nWHAT WE OFFER\nSalary range: £45,000+ pa, dependent on experience\nBenefits\nHybrid & flexible working arrangements\nShare option scheme\nAnnual bonus scheme\nPrivate Medical Insurance\nGroup Income Protection and Life Assurance\nEnhanced family leave\nCompany matched pension contributions up to 5%.
