You will gather, verify, and process payroll-related information. The successful candidate will be responsible for all administrative tasks associated with North American payroll processing.\nThe candidate must be based in Quebec City.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nPrepare payroll for employees in Canada and the United States;\nComplete, verify, and process forms and documents required for benefits administration, such as pension plans, leaves of absence, employment insurance, and health insurance;\nEnsure automated tracking and maintenance of employee leave banks and overtime;\nPrepare and verify pay statements, indicating gross and net earnings and statutory deductions (taxes, insurance, and retirement contributions), in compliance with local regulations where employees are based;\nPrepare and enter all journal entries related to the payroll cycle into the accounting software;\nRespond to employee and manager inquiries regarding payroll and benefits;\nAssist in onboarding and training new employees on payroll matters, including benefits, taxes, and RRSPs, based on their work location;\nPrepare and verify various reports such as month-end, year-end, CNESST reports, and year-end tax slips;\nAssist in reviewing expense reports;\nPerform other related duties.\nPROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS\nVocational Diploma (DEP) in Administration or Accounting, or any equivalent combination of education and experience;\nMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role managing the full payroll cycle.\nSKILLS & COMPETENCIES\nProficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel);\nExcellent proficiency in English (written and spoken).\nProficiency in French (Written and spoken)\nStrong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a strict sense of confidentiality;\nProactive, curious, and resourceful mindset;\nTeam player with excellent communication and customer service skills;\nExperience with ADP platforms is an asset;\nExperience with international payroll is an asset.\nBENEFITS\nCompetitive compensation;\nFlexible work hours;\nHybrid work schedule (on-site and work-from-home);\nVirtual healthcare clinic and Employee Assistance Program (EAP);\nGroup health and dental insurance starting on day one;\nGroup RRSP and TFSA with employer contribution starting on day one;\nOn-site amenities (free parking, free EV charging stations, complimentary coffee and fruit);\n50% reimbursement on monthly RTC public transit passes;\nMultiple committees to get involved in (Impact Committee, Social Club, Health & Safety);\nBright, open-concept spaces and ergonomic workstations;\nOn-site gym;\nGlobal organization operating across multiple continents.\nEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER\nOPTEL is an equal opportunity employer.
