The position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day technical activities of the department.\nProducts\nSet-up of new part specifications\nCompliance with customer specific and special characteristic requirements\nSet up of APQP document set \nDevelopment of tool set for new parts\nImprovement of tool sets for existing parts\nResolution of tool replated production and quality issues\nProcesses\nDevelop of new processes to facilitate introduction of additional product families.\nAssessment and selection of new equipment\nDesign and implementation of machine modifications\nCustomer Issues\nAdvising on application related issues associated with customer quality concerns\nAdvising on specification-related issues associated with customer quality concerns\nAreas of impact:\nManaging quote process\nSet up quote process\nComplete initial feasibility review\nProvide product cost\nManaging new part set up and APQP process\nComplete feasibility review, ensure all specification are understood and measurable.\nSet up of PFD, PFMEA, PCP, and Inspection Sheets\nManaging customer issues\nAssess customer issue when design or specification related\nProvide recommendation on application and specification changes\nManaging tool design \nDevelopment of new tool sets for plant\nDesign for Manufacturing Review\nProgression drawings\nShop floor support for new products\nShop floor support for problem solving\nTool life improvement\nManaging manufacturing engineering\nImprove machine efficiency\nImprove machine effectiveness\nSelection of new machines\nDevelopment of new production processes\nKey Competencies:\nPlant Orientation and Responsiveness\nDrive for Results \nTeam Player\nExcellent Communication and Informing Skills\nTimely Decision Making and Problem Solving\nExcellent Analytical Skills\nProcess Orientation\nNegotiation Skills and Conflict Management \nQualifications:\nMinimum 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing.\nMinimum 10 years’ fastener tool design experience. \nAIAG Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA\nIATF 16949 Internal or Lead Auditor highly preferred\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or material sciences. \nInspection, Metrology, Metallurgical Analysis Interpretation. \nGD&T, Print Review, Understanding and interpretation of engineering specifications (IFI, ASME, etc).
