Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:\nDevelop new parts.\nResolve problems with existing parts.\nTrain new hires.\nProvide ongoing training\nThe ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating Cold Forming equipment.\nMain responsibilities:\nDevelop New Parts.\nSupport Engineering in DFM reviews.\nComplete and/or support set up of new parts.\nSupport engineering and quality on resolution of production issues.\nResolve Problems with Existing Parts\nLiaison between Forming and Engineering on parts which do not run effectively.\nAssist with problem solving the tooling/set up issue.\nSupport documentation of solution.\nTrouble shoot machine related issues in collaboration with maintenance.\nTrain New Hires\nSupport development of training plan. \nDirectly train or assign trainer for new hire.\nEvaluation new hire development and advise management on changes to training plan.\nProvide Ongoing Training\nAssess current forming operators.\nSupport development of training plan. \nDirectly train or assign trainer for current forming operators.\nSupport evaluation team member development and advise management on changes to training plans\nKey Competencies:\nManufacturing knowledge.\nDrive for results. \nTeam player.\nGood communication and informing skills.\nTimely decision making \nProblem solving\n\nSkills and Qualifications:\nMinimum 10 years of fastener experience. \nExpertise on multiple forming platforms.\nDemonstrated ability to effectively set up multiple forming machines.\nBlueprint reading\nInspection experience\nCompensation:\nAt Optimas we believe in having a competitive compensation scheme to motivate and retain our employees.
