This allows us to adapt with our customers and partners as needs evolve, leveraging our footprint to remain at your side while providing a highly personalized level of service and support no matter where you find yourself around the globe.\nPosition overview: \nThe Sorter Associate will operate computerized vision equipment to inspect and package product for \nshipment including labeling and palletizing.\nMain responsibilities: \nThe Sorter Associate focuses on running equipment and on packaging parts for inventory/shipment. \nAdherence to all safety policies and procedures. \nAdherence to all quality policies and procedures. \nOperation of equipment. o Clean up of equipment between jobs o Performing preventative maintenance requirements o Assisting with set-up of equipment o Operation of equipment at targeted rate o Validating proper operation of equipment o Loading of unsorted product o Scraping of non-conforming parts o Packaging of conforming parts \nInspection of product being sorted \nBoxing, labelling, and palletizing parts. \nMaintenance of production records \nMaintenance of lot control.\nKey Competencies: \nThe ideal candidate must have the following competencies: \nMechanical Skills \nDecision Making \nTeam Skills \nProblem Solving Skills \nCommunication Skills \nReading Skills \nBasic Math Skills \nComputer Skills\nSkills and Qualifications: \nHigh School Diploma or GED \n2-5 years relevant experience required, warehouse setting preferred. \nAbility to read, understand and maintain records as required. \nAbility to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. \nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. \nForklift experience preferred.\nCompensation: \nAt Optimas we believe in having a competitive compensation scheme to motivate and retain our \nemployees.
