We are looking for motivated individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to impactful projects.\nJob Summary and Essential Job Duties:\nThe Process Writer supports Process Creation in writing, documenting, and releasing the manufacturing processes required to fabricate lenses and other optical specific customer requirements. Reviews each new order with respect to existing process steps and either creates processes or reworks processes to meet the customer requirements. The Process Writer will assess tooling for each process, and if required, creates work orders for new tooling. They review all recommended fabrication processes with Cell Leaders for manufacturing approval, then release processes. Works with the Manufacturing Engineers and Sales to resolve issues regarding part specifications, tolerances and fabrication processes.\nThrough On the Job Trainging (OJT), the Process Writer will:\nPrioritizes work according to planned manufacturing start dates and coordinates process writing updates to manage their own workflow.\nAttend and/or facilitate any production planning meeting(s) with Program/Project Managers, and team experts as required to effectively support customer program and projects\nProvide purchasing with recommendations regarding appropriate blank/material sizing and quantities to support production requirements\nCreate additional drawing markups to improve manufacturability without changing the final fit, form, or function of the optic.\nDetermine parameters of parts to be manufactured and required tooling.\nCreates clear, accurate, and easy-to-follow operational procedures specific to customer requirements\nCollaborate with designated departmental process checkers and approvers to address and resolve questions or concerns related to the manufacturing process\nProvide status updates to the process creation Team current project(s) and present at the weekly Process Creation Release Board Meeting\nUpdate Process Creation documentation & ensure Optimax manufacturing standards are followed\nCreate rework process for any critical DMR's\nSupport Job Release with any process related issues and/or questions\nMaintain a clean & orderly workspace\nFollows the Adult Contract & adherence to Optimax Company Policy\nAdvancement through the Process Writer ranks is attained via increasing levels of education, experience, industrial skills, math skills, computing skills, responsibility and leadership potential and effectiveness.\nEducation Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma, AAS degree or above.\nMinimum Requirements:\nRequires good math skills, ability to read & interpret blueprints, customer statement of work, & general understanding of optical materials and processing. Optics manufacturing experience a plus. Attention to details a must.\nAbility to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Epicor Kinetic, plus internal Company programs\nHighly motivated, detail oriented, results driven team player.\nStrong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills\nWork Requirements:\nPhysical Demands:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch: and talk and hear.\nThe job may involve prolong periods of sitting/standing.\nSpecific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.\nWork Environment:\nThis position works in a manufacturing environment.
