The role builds and improves developer tools, CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, testing practices, and monitoring capabilities to increase software development productivity, quality, and release speed.\n\nResponsibilities\nContribute to our software development tools strategy accelerating our development teams\nExecute on the implementation of our tools roadmap that includes an CI/CD pipeline that will be leveraged by the software development teams across the organization to support our broadband, video, mobile and customer support applications\nImplement tools to identify, document and track software defects. Work closely with the development teams to resolve issues and ensure timely fixes\nIntroduce capabilities to do effective A/B testing of releases across test populations\nLead process improvement initiatives to enhance testing practices, tools, and metrologies\nImplement tools to monitor and report on key quality metrics including defect rates, test coverage and test execution progress. Analyze metrics to identify areas for improvement\nLeverage developer tools and test automation to transform our software release processes and enable the development teams to get capabilities to customers faster\nUse and customize out of the box tools to instrument and monitor systems\nContribute to a structured knowledge base that allows teams to create, maintain and extend documentation for all our developer tools and processes\nEstablish and gain acceptance for Key Results indicated by our development pipeline and automation test frameworks\nUse prototypes and proof of concepts as the primary tool for deep and detailed explorations of architecture and software designs\nGo-to advocate for developer tools in the organization\nContinue to make Optimum a Developer Friendly Environment\n\nSkills\nBachelor's degree in computer science or related field\nMinimum 3-5 years of experience in software development, automation, and tools\nProficiency in variety of programming languages (Python, Java, C#)\nExperience with Google cloud or Amazon Web Services and their capabilities\nThorough understanding of software methodologies and DevOps practices\nExperience with the implementation and optimization CI/CD Pipelines\nExperience with the automation of test cases\nGood intuition for software design, actively looking to learn from other teams and projects\nExperience with data formats and locality with performance considerations\nDemonstrated experience solving performance and data issues by applying experience/knowledge\nCompletely comfortable working with live production systems, debugging issues and taking careful actions with protections against damage\nContributes to establishing and maintaining corporate policies related to technology\nApplicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S\nAt this time, we do not provide visa sponsorship for employment\n\nCompany Overview\nAt Optimum, we believe in the power of connection.
