This position reports to the Optiv + ClearShark President with indirect reporting to the Optiv Finance leadership team.\nHow you’ll make an impact\nOversee the operations of the accounting, finance, and related functions.\nResponsible for building and developing accounting policies and procedures.\nOversight of month-end close process, including review of reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, and identification and research of accounting issues.\nCoordinate, analyze, and report financial performance to management.\nOversee payments of all accounts.\nMonitor working capital and funding balances.\nRecommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of company divisions.\nMonitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget\nManage the preparation of the financial statements and notes thereto\nManage the external auditors. \nRepresent finance in the identification and implementation of new systems and upgrade of existing systems.\nPrepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and investment decisions.\nEnsure compliance with applicable regulations and principles.\nResponsible for leading and managing the Federal Finance and Accounting team.\nWhat we’re looking for\nBachelor’s Degree / MBA or practical equivalent. • 10 or more years of solid accounting experience. • Knowledge of GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, including Sarbanes Oxley compliance.\n5-10 years progressive accounting experience managing/maintaining Deltek Costpoint ERP system.\nHands-on knowledge of DCAA compliance standards, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). • Ability to demonstrate leadership, creativity, and initiative. • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. • Experience with creating financial statements. • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close. • Strong accounting software user and administration skills. • Experience working with senior management leadership and ability to influence others cross-functionally.\nExperience leading and managing people and direct reports is required.\nStrong written and oral communication skills.\nWhat you can expect from Optiv\nWork/life balance\n\nProfessional training resources\n\nCreative problem-solving and the ability to tackle unique, complex projects\n\nVolunteer Opportunities. “Optiv Chips In” encourages employees to volunteer and engage with their teams and communities.\n\nThe ability and technology necessary to productively work remotely/from home (where applicable)\n\nEEO Statement\nOptiv + ClearShark is an equal opportunity employer.
