The AFC delivers managed security services to clients across all industries through its Client Engagement, Engineering Operations, and Detection & Response teams.\nThe Cyber Operations Advisor (Identity Security) is a senior technical leader and trusted advisor responsible for driving measurable Identity Security outcomes, operational maturity, and client value. The COA combines deep Identity expertise with advisory and operational leadership capabilities to lead client engagements, develop strategic roadmaps, improve service performance, and drive continual improvement across Identity Security services.\nActing as the primary technical voice for assigned clients, the COA translates business requirements into actionable Identity strategies while partnering with engineering and delivery teams to enhance security posture, operational effectiveness, and client satisfaction.\nHow you'll make an impact\nLead multiple client engagements, driving measurable security outcomes and operational improvements.\n\nServe as the primary technical advisor for Identity Security services.\n\nTranslate business requirements into actionable Identity Security strategies and roadmaps.\n\nDrive service maturity through KPI analysis, operational metrics, and continual improvement initiatives.\n\nProvide expertise across IAM, PAM, Identity Governance (IGA), authentication, federation, and identity lifecycle management.\n\nIdentify operational, governance, and security risks and recommend remediation strategies.\n\nConduct service reviews, maturity assessments, and executive-level client presentations.\n\nCollaborate with engineering and delivery teams to optimize service performance and client outcomes.\n\nSupport pre-sales, solution reviews, and strategic client initiatives.\n\nValidate service delivery aligns with client expectations, contractual commitments, and security objectives.\n\nWhat we're looking for\nBachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 8+ years of cybersecurity experience.\n\nProven success leading client-facing engagements in consulting, managed services, or professional services environments.\n\nDeep experience with:\nIdentity and Access Management (IAM)\n\nPrivileged Access Management (PAM)\n\nIdentity Governance and Administration (IGA)\n\nAuthentication and Federation\n\nIdentity Lifecycle Management\n\nStrong analytical skills with experience using KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics to drive improvements.\n\nStrong understanding of NIST CSF, CIS Controls, PCI, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.\n\nExceptional communication and executive presentation skills.\n\nAbility to build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.\n\nExperience with cloud identity technologies across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.\n\nExperience with one or more leading Identity platforms, including: CyberArk, Delinea, BeyondTrust, SailPoint, Saviynt, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Ping Identity, MSSP or Managed Security Services environments (preferred).\n\nOne or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CyberArk Certifications, SailPoint Certifications, Microsoft Identity Certifications (preferred).\n\nWhat you can expect from Optiv\nA company committed to our inclusive value through our Employee Resource Groups\nWork/life balance\nProfessional training resources\nCreative problem-solving and the ability to tackle unique, complex projects\nVolunteer Opportunities. “Optiv Chips In” encourages employees to volunteer and engage with their teams and communities.\nThe ability and technology necessary to productively work remotely/from home (where applicable)\nEEO Statement\nOptiv is an equal opportunity employer.
