Working closely with finance and external advisors, you will help ensure accurate and timely tax reporting, support tax audits and contribute to process improvements that enhance the efficiency of our tax function. The business in Mumbai is newly established and deemed to be an integral part of the APAC strategy, with an anticipation of significant growth over the coming years.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nThe key functions you will be responsible for include:\nPreparing direct and indirect tax compliance obligations for Optiver's India entities, including corporate income tax, withholding tax, GST and other local tax filings.\nPreparing annual corporate income tax returns, tax computations and supporting work papers.\nPreparing monthly, quarterly and annual tax provisions and supporting tax disclosures for statutory financial reporting.\nPreparing GST returns, reconciliations and other indirect tax compliance obligations.\nAssisting with tax audits, assessments and notices by preparing supporting documentation and coordinating with external tax advisors and tax authorities.\nPartnering with finance and other internal stakeholders to obtain information required for tax compliance and reporting.\nMonitoring changes in Indian tax legislation and assisting in assessing their impact on the business.\nIdentifying opportunities to improve tax compliance processes through automation, technology and AI-enabled solutions.\nMaintaining accurate tax documentation and supporting strong tax governance processes\nWHO YOU ARE\nOptiver is looking for someone who is curious, collaborative and eager to develop their technical expertise within a global organisation. As our next Tax Analyst, you’ll need to have:\nMinimum 3 years' experience in direct and indirect tax compliance within a Big 4 accounting firm or multinational corporate environment.\nQualified Chartered Accountant (CA).\nStrong knowledge of Indian corporate income tax, withholding tax and GST.\nExperience preparing corporate income tax returns, tax provisions and indirect tax filings.\nExperience liaising with tax authorities and external advisors will be highly regarded.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.\nAbility to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nA proactive attitude with a willingness to learn, take ownership of your deliverables and continuously improve processes.\nWHAT YOU'LL GET\nA performance-based bonus structure unmatched anywhere in the industry.
