The project is delivered together with a large international IT services company. For this role, Optiveum is the recruitment and contracting party, which means you will sign the cooperation agreement directly with us.\nYou will design, implement and optimise high-performance, low-latency C++ components for exchange connectivity and algorithmic trading systems, supporting clients across leading European trading venues.\nKey Details:\nRate: 125-170 PLN/h (B2B), depending on experience: 8-10 years: 125-140 PLN/h; 10-12 years: 135-160 PLN/h; 12+ years: 155-170 PLN/h\n\nWork Model: Hybrid, 3 days per week from the client's office (non-negotiable), full-time\n\nLocation: Wrocław (candidates must live in or near Wrocław)\n\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, implement and optimise low-latency C++ components for exchange connectivity and algorithmic trading\n\nApply end-to-end engineering practices: analyse trading requirements, deliver new functionality, build automated tests and maintain CI/CD\n\nEnsure quality, security, reliability and regulatory compliance of the software\n\nIntegrate observability, monitor production, provide L3 support and address root causes of incidents\n\nUse AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot in everyday work and automate repetitive tasks through MCP-based integrations\n\nRequirements:\nAt least 8 years of similar experience\n\nModern C++: strong C++14/17 or later (C++20 an advantage), concurrency, memory management, data structures and algorithmic complexity\n\nLinux development and debugging (GDB, shell scripting)\n\nC++ unit testing and automated testing frameworks such as Robot Framework\n\nPython for scripting, test automation and tooling\n\nGit workflows, CI/CD pipelines and Ansible\n\nL3 production support for business-critical systems\n\nConfidence using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot\n\nFluent English\n\nPolish or EU citizenship, or a permanent residence / work permit valid for at least 12 months\n\nAlso expected / strong advantage:\nLow-latency engineering: lock-free data structures, kernel bypass (DPDK, Solarflare), cache-efficient programming, NUMA optimisation\n\nPerformance profiling: perf, Intel VTune, flame graphs, Google Benchmark\n\nHardware-level understanding: CPU caches, branch prediction, memory hierarchies, NICs\n\nFinancial market protocols (FIX, ITCH, OUCH, exchange native APIs) and trading systems (exchange connectivity, smart order routing, algorithmic execution)\n\nMCP servers / AI workflow automation; monitoring with Corvil, Geneos and PCAP analysis\n\nRecruitment Process:\nOne interview with the IT services partner, followed by 1-3 interviews with the bank\n\nTechnical tasks are done live: please have your programming environment set up and tested beforehand.
