The client runs the core banking infrastructure for hundreds of regional savings banks across Germany, so you will work in a large, stable and highly regulated environment.\nFor this role, Optiveum is the recruitment and contracting party, which means you will sign the B2B cooperation agreement directly with us.\nKey Details:\nRate: 160-200 PLN/h net (B2B), depending on experience\n\nContract: B2B with Optiveum, until the end of 2026 with a planned extension through 2027\n\nWork Model: 100% remote, full-time (5 days per week)\n\nOn-call: rotating 24/7 on-call, plus planned changes in maintenance windows (usually nights and weekends)\n\nLocation: Remote from Poland\n\nStart: ASAP\n\nLanguages: fluent English is required; German is a strong plus\n\nResponsibilities:\nRun and operate the Load Balancing product end to end on F5 BIG-IP (LTM, DNS, AFM): from transitioning new infrastructure into operations, through changes and releases, to decommissioning\n\nConfigure, administer and troubleshoot F5 BIG-IP LTM, DNS and AFM\n\nManage virtual servers, pools, iRules and SSL offloading, and look after the certificate lifecycle\n\nManage the firmware lifecycle, including TMOS upgrades, and F5 BIG-IP licensing\n\nAnalyse and resolve application delivery issues, persistence, health monitors and HA-pair failover\n\nCarry out planned maintenance and changes in maintenance windows outside core hours and take part in the weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB)\n\nHandle 2nd and 3rd-level incidents and support root cause analysis, known-error documentation and workarounds\n\nSupport the Lead Network Engineer during major incidents (bridge calls, data collection, emergency changes)\n\nTune event monitoring in CheckMK and report on service availability (uptime, MTBF, MTTR) and capacity\n\nInvestigate log anomalies flagged in Splunk and maintain standard syslog configurations\n\nRun vulnerability management (security patches, CVE tracking, remediation) in line with ISMS requirements\n\nMaintain the CMDB (IP addresses, VLANs, VRFs, configuration items) and track licences and asset lifecycle\n\nSupport internal and external audits and drive continual service improvement and automation\n\nShare knowledge with stand-ins and contribute to runbooks, configuration standards and SOPs\n\nRequirements:\nSeveral years of hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP (LTM, DNS, iRules, TMOS) in high-availability data center environments\n\nWorking knowledge of F5 BIG-IP AFM\n\nF5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator (F5-CA) or equivalent certification\n\nWillingness to join a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule, including nights, weekends and public holidays\n\nExperience handling major incidents in a regulated (ideally banking) environment\n\nSolid understanding of ITIL processes in a regulated environment: Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Knowledge, Configuration, Event, Availability and Capacity Management\n\nFluent English, spoken and written\n\nAn existing 1-person company (działalność gospodarcza) registered in Poland\n\nNice to Have:\nGerman language skills\n\nF5 Certified Solution Expert (F5-CSE)\n\nITIL certification\n\nNetwork automation with
