In this role, you will support the development and maintenance of automated tests for Master Data Management (MDM) solutions. Your daily tasks will strongly focus on SOAP and REST API testing, database testing, integration testing, and the automation of backend and data distribution processes.\nAs a partner in your professional journey, Optiveum will be your recruitment agency and the direct contracting party for this B2B cooperation.\nYour responsibilities:\nDesigning and implementing automated tests for APIs, integration processes, and data flows.\n\nDeveloping, maintaining, and architecting scalable test automation frameworks following Clean Code practices and POJO design patterns.\n\nCreating regression tests and integrating them with CI/CD pipelines.\n\nSpearheading the “Automation First” approach within the team.\n\nCollaborating closely with developers, analysts, Product Owners, and other MDM Agile Release Train (ART) teams.\n\nAnalyzing test results, preparing test evidence, and delivering clear execution reports.\n\nIntroducing and utilizing AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate testing coverage and reduce manual effort.\n\nMentoring and supporting less experienced team members in test automation best practices.\n\nMust-have requirements:\n6+ years of proven experience in automated software testing, preferably in complex enterprise environments.\n\nHands-on experience in test automation development using Java 17+, with strong knowledge of OOP and Clean Code principles.\n\nPractical experience with the core Java API testing stack: RESTAssured, JUnit 5, and Lombok.\n\nSolid understanding of REST architecture and SOAP/WSDL contracts.\n\nExperience in testing integration solutions (asynchronous flows, Kafka-based integrations, data pipelines, and event-driven architecture).\n\nGood knowledge of writing SQL queries and performing database testing.\n\nExperience with test reporting tools (especially Allure) and test management/defect tracking tools (qTest, Jira).\n\nStrong Git skills (branching strategies, PR workflows, code reviews) and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins and/or Bamboo).\n\nDeep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement).\n\nFluent English (B2/C1) with excellent communication skills to clearly explain testing scope, risks, and quality recommendations.\n\nProactive mindset with a strong focus on business value and continuous improvement.\n\nNice to
