The majority of work will be based across Corby and Kettering.\nAs an Electrician, your responsibilities will include:\nCarrying out electrical remedial works within occupied and void social housing properties\nUndertaking testing and inspection activities to ensure compliance and safety standards are met\nCompleting rewiring works where required\nDiagnosing and resolving electrical faults efficiently\nEnsuring all works are completed to a high standard in line with current regulations\nAccurately completing relevant documentation and certification\nDelivering excellent customer service when working within tenants' homes\nParticipating in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota\nAdditional Benefits & Information:\nMileage paid at 45p per mile when using your own vehicle\nCompany vehicle may be available where required\nOwn standard power tools beneficial\nCall-out rota: 1 week in every 4 weeks\nOngoing contract opportunity with immediate start available\nEssential Qualifications:\nApplicants must hold and be able to provide proof of:\nCity & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent)\nCity & Guilds 2382 18th Edition\nCity & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection (or equivalent)\nAdditional Requirements:\nProven experience in testing and inspection\nExperience working within domestic or social housing environments is desirable\nFull UK Driving Licence\nWillingness to undertake CAT B Asbestos Awareness Training (or provide current certification)\nWe're Looking For Someone Who Can Demonstrate:\nStrong technical electrical knowledge\nAbility to work independently across multiple sites\nExcellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills\nGood communication and customer service skills\nCommitment to safe working practices and compliance standards\nReliability, flexibility, and a proactive approach to work\nInterviews will be held face-to-face at the Council depot in Corby or Kettering.\nIf you're a qualified Electrician looking for an opportunity with a respected local authority, we'd love to hear from you.
